00:00And as President of the United States, it will be my intention to build on the foundation
00:06of this progress.
00:08Still, we know that many Americans don't yet feel that progress in their daily lives.
00:17Costs are still too high.
00:19And on a deeper level, for too many people, no matter how much they work, it feels so
00:25hard to just be able to get ahead.
00:28As President, I will be laser-focused on creating opportunities for the middle class
00:34that advance their economic security, stability, and dignity.
00:40Together, we will build what I call an Opportunity Economy.
00:50And key, key to creating this Opportunity Economy is building up our middle class.
00:59It is essential.
01:04The middle class is one of America's greatest strengths.
01:09And to protect it, then, we must defend basic principles, such as your salary should be
01:17enough to provide you and your family with a good quality of life.
01:24When I am elected President, I will make it a top priority to bring down costs and increase
01:31economic security for all Americans.
01:35As President, I will take on the high costs that matter most to most Americans, like the
01:43cost of food.
01:45We all know that prices went up during the pandemic when the supply chains shut down
01:52and failed.
01:54But our supply chains have now improved.
01:58And prices are still too high.
02:00Look, I know most businesses are creating jobs, contributing to our economy, and playing
02:07by the rules.
02:09But some are not.
02:11And that's just not right.
02:13And we need to take action when that is the case.
