00:00Well, the viral interview of Blake Lively from 2016 that was conducted by this reporter
00:07you see here, Kirstie Flaa.
00:09She was interviewing Blake and Parker Posey for Cafe Society, to promote Cafe Society,
00:16when Blake just completely turned on her.
00:21She had made a comment at the beginning of the interview, very innocuously said, congratulations
00:28on your little baby bump.
00:30By the way, and Blake had already said she was pregnant.
00:32She had announced just a couple days before that she was pregnant, and was apparently,
00:35according to Kirstie, about eight months along.
00:38So this was not like, I'm trying to hide my pregnancy.
00:43But it did turn ugly, and everyone has now piled on and said that, look, this is another
00:47sign that maybe Blake Lively isn't who we thought she is.
00:53Whether or not that's, and I gotta say that I thought that the reason that Kirstie reposted
00:58that interview from 2016 was because of all the events with us drama between her and Justin
01:03Baldoni.
01:04Well, we spoke to Kirstie, and she says, no, this was just a really odd coincidence.
01:11I felt a little ashamed at first, because I didn't know what happened.
01:17I didn't know what I said that was so bad that made her and Parker behave like that.
01:24But then I thought, you know, I think it's important to let people know that these things
01:32goes on sometimes, and maybe it can help or prevent it from happening again.
01:38Someone said, oh, it's funny you're doing this now.
01:41Have you seen this other controversy?
01:42And to be honest with you, I hadn't.
01:45Considering how she was acting in front of me, I'm thinking, okay, maybe she wasn't the
01:49easiest person to work with.
01:51But I don't know.
01:52I can't really comment on it because I wasn't there.
01:55If she wants to apologize, that would be amazing.
01:57I think if you behave badly, if you own up to that and own it and say, you know, I had
02:03a terrible day.
02:04I'm so sorry.
02:05And maybe she will learn something from that and not behave like that again.
02:10Of course, that would be very welcoming.
02:12But I don't think it will happen, though.
02:14I don't think it'll happen either.
02:15Oh, good.
02:16I thought she was going to say she was waiting.
02:17No, no, she's not.
02:19She's not holding her breath.
02:20She doesn't think it's going to happen.
02:21And Blake or someone from her team has not reached out since the video went viral.
02:25But to just add a little more context.
02:27So she says that it was purely a coincidence.
02:30And actually, she was talking with a fellow journalist who's a friend of hers.
02:34And he was telling her about how she or how he had this very awkward encounter with a
02:38celebrity that he was interviewing.
02:40And she's like, you know, I actually had something similar happen to me back in 2016 and thought,
02:45you know what?
02:46Like, I never posted the interview.
02:47But, you know, I probably should post it because, you know, there are going to be other
02:51young journalists who might come across this.
02:53And at least it puts the word out there that, like, these things do happen and, you know,
02:58you can kind of get past it and move forward in your career.
03:01And you shouldn't be ashamed if, you know, one of these celebrities isn't being very
03:04nice to you in an interview.
03:05The only weird thing about it is that, you know, the movie was very high profile.
03:11And so when she posts...
03:12So what do you have left of it?
03:13No, no, no.
03:14Oh, it ends with us.
03:15It ends with us.
03:16Yeah.
03:17So, I mean, she is posting it right when this big movie is out.
03:21You could know the movie came out.
03:23Well, not only did she know the movie, actually, Harvey, I asked her about that.
03:27She had actually gone and seen it.
03:29I think she was actually invited to, like, one of the premieres.
03:31Went to a screening, yeah.
03:32So she actually saw a screening of it before it even happened.
03:35So she had seen the movie, was well aware, obviously, of who Blake was, wasn't super
03:40aware of who Justin was, but knew nothing about, you know, the feud and the drama that
03:44was going on between them.
03:45That kind of makes sense.
03:46Yes.
03:47So she didn't know about the feud between Justin and Blake, but she did know that Blake
03:52had a movie out and it triggered her memory to remember, oh yeah, back in 2016.
03:57That makes sense.
03:58That makes sense.
03:59I buy that.
04:00Hi, my name is Tiffany Hunt from New York City.
04:04In this particular instance, Chesty is a journalist.
04:07It's always important to be up to date with what's going on in the world, but we are all
04:12humans and things like this can occur.
04:15And unfortunately, sharing that clip can come off as intentional, considering the negative
04:20feedback that Blake is currently receiving.
04:22What do you think?
04:23What do you think, having watched this 2016 interview?
04:28Excuse me, as I have a dog.
04:32That we figured out.
04:36Looking at the interview, it clearly was a very tense interview.
04:41Me personally, when she opened up, acknowledging that she was pregnant, I thought it was just
04:47a nice, playful way to introduce the interview, but clearly, I think Blake might have been
04:51dealing with something maybe prior to, because we saw her talk throughout the interview.
04:56It was very clear that she felt kind of a way about how media has been portraying actors,
05:02actress people in Hollywood, and we saw that revealed in the interview.
05:06She definitely had a grudge about something.
