01:00people feel engaged in and I just feel like even when I watch the show you know
01:04even when I'm writing it being on the set I can sit back and watch it and
01:07really still be entertained and like be sort of lost in in in the show and and
01:14just sort of what and just kind of like watch it as an audience member and I
01:18think there's something that's just transporting about this about this
01:25series yeah it's absolute escapism and Lucas did you ever expect this show to
01:31make you a global heartthrob to be fair I didn't know that word before season
01:37one and I had to I had to I learned the hard way you know it was it was a lot of
01:43visibility for one person to feel legitimate to but yeah weren't you
01:48already a local heartthrob in my in my high school maybe I don't know and now
01:54you're a global heartthrob and we love to see it I'm glad you're on the global
01:58stage now for us all to see and listen it Darren I was hearing from the other
02:05cast members that apparently you are the person that knows all the best
02:09restaurants all the best bars that you guys go once you're finished filming is
02:13that true well you know that's part of the research for the show gotta you know
02:18gotta see what we're gonna film next I consider that part of my job listen it's
02:23the most important part I would say of course yes yeah and listen Lucas
02:29obviously there's the love triangle going on what would you see as sort of
02:36red flags of Gabriel and what are his green flags what are the good the pros
02:40and cons basically of Gabriel it's hard question I would think red flags I would
02:46talk about the previous seasons but red flags maybe was not addressing enough
02:51you know and and maybe do you lack of communication lack of communication and
02:58green flags is just just his food is amazing he's a he's a sexy beast and he
03:07goes through life with passion and innocence and it's very inviting are you
03:11ever tempted to bribe Darren and say can you just write this for him can you just
03:16make him do this can you just make him be the one that gets Emily oh I've never
03:20I never I never dare to to put any ingredients or to like throw salt into
03:27into Darren's recipe I you know I kind of like that we get the scripts and I
03:32like to be surprised that I don't wanna you don't mess with the you don't mess
03:36with that I see what you did there with the cooking puns I absolutely love it
