00:19What do you think it is that everyone loves about this show,
00:22me included, by the way?
00:24Gosh, I think it comes down to, well, it starts with the writing,
00:27but I think just being able to live in Paris
00:30and go on this journey with these amazing characters
00:33that Darren and the guys have created.
00:35Yeah, and I feel like the show's so aspirational, too.
00:38Both of us had never been to Paris before we filmed this show,
00:41so it's a city that everyone knows about and wants to go to,
00:45and I think that having that escapism
00:47and being able to be there with these characters
00:49and see the opulence of the city is always something.
00:52And I think that the thing that people tell us most of the time
00:55is that it's a really easy watch and it's really joyful
00:59and it makes them happy, so that's the best.
01:01Is that one of the best things about being a part of this show,
01:04getting to film in Paris?
01:06Oh, 100%.
01:07Like we said, it was our first time being in Paris
01:11and then to kind of set roots there and make it home
01:14and to be able to kind of explore it and know it
01:17and understand it and feel it.
01:19It's a gift, it's a gift come true, really.
01:21You guys must have had some of the best dinners over there.
01:24You must know all the best spots to go by now, right?
01:27Well, what's funny is I think last season,
01:29or the past couple of seasons, us and a lot of our castmates,
01:33we lived in the same area in the Marais,
01:35and so we have our spot that we always go to
01:37that's open all the time.
01:38Always, yeah.
01:39So we definitely have spots that are our favourites,
01:41and that's what's fun about returning to the city now.
01:43It feels like, oh, we know the spots we want to go to, so yeah.
01:46How is your French?
01:48Yours is good.
01:50Je m'en rends compte.
01:51I can understand a lot more, but I don't let on to it,
01:54so don't tell anybody.
01:55Yeah, yeah, that's kind of my angle as well.
01:58I kind of plead that I don't speak any French,

02:04And Lucien, obviously people are in love with Alfie.
02:07How does it feel knowing that this show
02:09has made you an absolute worldwide heartthrob?
02:12Wow, that's a big shout.
02:16Honestly, I'm just really pleased
02:18that I was kind of able to bring the character to life
02:22and people have received him the way they have.
02:25I guess it's kind of amazing what reach the show has,
02:29with it being on Netflix.
02:30And it's fun.
02:31At our first table read,
02:32I don't think Lucien ever had the intention of like,
02:34you know what I'm going to do?
02:35I'm going to make this character a heartthrob.
02:37I think all of us just like,
02:38and I was like, I'm not going to make this
02:39like an endeared best friend.
02:40We all just were like, what is this character?
02:42How do we play it?
02:43And then that's what comes from genuine acting.
02:45But I remember your mom came to set for the first time.
02:47My mom came, oh gosh.
02:48That's probably why you stay like humble in yourself.
02:50She's very, yeah, she's the most adorable.

02:53I know I'm not trying to give you a big head here,
02:55but I'm just stating facts.

02:59Mindy is absolutely hilarious.

03:03Is it just so fun every day getting to play her
03:06and seeing what she's going to say next?

03:10Getting to see what she's going to say next is very,
03:12and sometimes it's stuff that I wouldn't find appropriate
03:15to say ever as Ashley.
03:16So it's fun to be able to be like, oh,
03:18I guess there are people who would say that.
03:20And I think it's fun because it's the reason the writing
03:23is great globally is that I don't think,
03:26at least I don't approach anything that she's saying
03:28with pure honesty as a joke.
03:31Let me try to make you laugh.
03:32But she's just saying everything exactly as it is.
03:35And that is very funny to people.
