Can this O-Line protect Jayden against Miami?

JP, BMitch and the crew debate whether the offensive line will be able to protect Jayden Daniels Saturday in preseason game 2.
Transcript
00:00Simple question. I'll start with Jeffrey.
00:05Can the O-line protect Jayden tomorrow 2-3 series?
00:10I think they can. And I think they can
00:14because there'll be a combination of them
00:16holding their blocks, giving them time,
00:18and also Jayden getting the ball out
00:21and, you know, getting out of the pocket
00:23when it's collapsing and, you know,
00:24sliding to safety or getting out of bounds
00:27to protect themselves as well.
00:30The Landini. They're going to protect Jayden.
00:33I do. I think it's mostly because Jayden's ability to move.
00:37I think that even if they are kind of struggling
00:40a little bit with the Dolphins' pass rush,
00:43Jayden will be able to protect himself.
00:45So I wouldn't be overly worried about him
00:48behind that O-line tomorrow.
00:51Okay. Well, I think this may be the offensive line
00:53that you may have to go with.
00:54And I think, yes, they can protect him.
00:57But just like somebody may lose one-on-one,
00:59then it comes down to the quarterback
01:01getting the ball out of his hands.
01:02On top of that, it's going —
01:04I understand he may play more than he did last week,
01:07but I still think that Cliff is going to call plays
01:11that are going to help protect him as well.
01:13Sure. He's got to stay in them, though.
01:19I mean, but listen, if they — look, all I have to say,
01:24when you get you a smart quarterback
01:26that understands what he sees and what works against it,
01:33you better just have something that doesn't have a checkoff.
01:36Because what he did last week, he was right.
01:39Right, right. Whether you want him to do it or not,
01:41if I have information that I can use,
01:45only way I won't use it if you don't let me have it.
01:48So you need to not — don't teach me stuff early.
01:51Or don't get a quarterback
01:52who you know is going to go ahead and look.
01:55You know, in the horse racing world,
01:57you know, a horse wins a race, right?
02:01Dornick won the Belmont, I believe.
02:03And Dornick's life then becomes pretty awesome.
02:06He gets to be a stud.
02:07And you pay millions of dollars for that stud, right?
02:13You don't then tell him not to do what you want him to do.
02:16Yeah. If you got a stud, let him be a stud.
02:19And I think — I was joking about the Jaden Daniels thing
02:22checking out in the preseason,
02:24but I go back to the hard knocks
02:26when Brian Dable tried to, like, get him in a weird spot
02:29and kind of make his brain malfunction.
02:31And he's like, I'll just throw a touchdown.
02:33Like, when your default setting is,
02:35I'm going to throw a touchdown,
02:36I don't want to change that default setting.
02:39I do think this line will protect.
02:42The Dolphins' defense has also —
02:46they lost a couple huge parts.
02:48Now, they got Chop Robinson. He'll be out there tomorrow night.
02:51I don't think, though —
02:53the Dolphins' defensive line the last few years
02:55had a fellow named Christian Wilkins in the middle,
02:57who is a badass.
02:58He's on par with Quinnen Williams,
03:00who we saw, at least in the practice last week against the Jets,
03:04kind of take over.
03:06They lost Wilkins.
03:07So I think this is an advantageous spot
03:11for Washington's offensive line
03:13to get some camaraderie,
03:16to kind of play together, gel a bit.
03:18Because at this point, I'm not ruling it out, obviously.
03:23But with each passing day,
03:24it gets harder to see Brandon Coleman
03:27starting week one in Tampa.
