Borrell threatens EU sanctions after Israeli settler attack on Palestinian village in West Bank

Israel’s military said it apprehended one person who took part in the violence on Thursday, resulting in the death of one Palestinian.

00:35In a post on social media platform X, Josep Borrell writes,
00:39day after day, in an almost total impunity, Israeli settlers fuel violence in the occupied
00:45West Bank, contributing to endanger any chance of peace.
00:50He adds that he plans to propose EU sanctions against the violent settlers, including government members.
00:57Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli military both issued statements
01:03condemning the attack.
