E911 Hotline, mas pinalakas para sa epektibong pagtugon sa emergency situation

Transcript
00:00The 9-1-1 hotline has been strengthened for a more effective response to emergency situations.
00:07This is a faster way to address the prank calls.
00:11This is what Patrick De Jesus reported.
00:15We will call the nearest station, sir, so that we can respond to that, sir.
00:20The PNP Command Center received a call from a gas station in Quezon City
00:28through the 9-1-1 hotline.
00:31It was immediately reported to the police near the location.
00:35The body cameras were used to monitor the police responding to the call.
00:41The location was their GPS location.
00:44The caller did not go to the location for more than a minute to ask for help.
00:50But this is just a scenario in the simulation earlier
00:53of the strengthened 9-1-1 services with the help of a new system
00:59of a private company that is also affiliated with the 9-1-1 system of America.
01:04According to the PNP, the target standard time for their response is 3 minutes.
01:11And the 9-1-1 is a big help here.
01:14There is an automatic response that we have already done.
01:20But this is just to show how fast we are.
01:23But in a real scenario, we are even faster.
01:25That's what we want. 3 minutes.
01:29But it's faster.
01:32Every day, up to 50,000 calls are received by the 9-1-1 emergency hotline.
01:39But according to us, only 500 calls are received by the legitimate emergency.
01:45Most of them are drop calls, wrong dials, and prank calls.
01:51That's why, because of the new system, prank calls can be targeted
01:56because of its ability to target the location of the call.
02:00Please don't get prank calls because you will be charged here.
02:04This is for an efficient resolution of an accident or a crime.
02:10So please don't make this system new.
02:13This is for all of us.
02:14For now, the new system is being blamed more for the calls
02:19that only claim that there is an emergency
02:21to make the 9-1-1 operation more effective.
02:25We can target the consistent prank callers.
02:31So it's not a priority anymore.
02:34Since it's targeted by prank callers, it's less priority.
02:39So it appears in the system.
02:42Since this is a frequent caller and there is no proper information to respond with,
02:47all the call takers are not prioritizing it anymore.
02:52People will be added to the 9-1-1 emergency hotline
02:56because this operation will be expanded.
