00:28along with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding
00:31for the Recruitment of Filipino Healthcare Workers.
00:58All of our kababayan OFWs will be protected as they pursue their careers in Singapore.
01:05The MOU was also passed for the assistance of the Philippines and Singapore in carbon credits.
01:10Hopefully, with this memorandum, we will be able to incentivize both industries and individuals
01:17to actively work to reduce their carbon footprint
01:20while allowing the government to mobilize financial resources to boost fiscal space.
01:26The MOU was also planned for health cooperation.
01:29The MOU was also signed between the Philippine Local Government Units and Singapore Private Sector Partners.
01:35The two leaders also talked about the West Philippine Sea.
01:39We look forward to the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to maintain
01:44and to promote peace, security, and stability in the region
01:48as well as our strong support for the peaceful resolution of any such disputes.
01:53The Philippines remains optimistic in fostering closer and enhanced cooperation with Singapore
01:58in existing areas such as defense and security, trade and investment,
02:03and new areas such as sustainability and in energy.
02:07MOUs in the fields of health and maritime security are already in the pipeline
02:12and we anticipate for them to be finalized in the very near future.

02:21since the Philippine leader visited Singapore.
02:24Singapore believes in the economy of the Philippines and is ready to invest.
02:29Singapore believes firmly in the Philippines' economic potential.

02:38In fact, we are one of the top foreign investors in the Philippines
02:42in a range of industries, transport and logistics,
02:45real estate and hospitality, telecommunications, utilities,
02:50and now increasingly, the whole sphere of renewable energy.
02:54The Singaporean leader also welcomed the Philippines' victory in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
03:01The Philippines came first in the rankings in Southeast Asia.
03:04Mr. Yulo's two goals is the only athlete from Southeast Asia,
03:12from an ASEAN nation, who's had two Olympic goals ever in any sport.
03:16So it's a real milestone.
