00:00Welcome back to Celestro English.
00:03We go live to Venezuela right now as a session of the National Assembly of the country is
00:08underway.
00:09We listen to police leader, America First.
00:22We're looking at an ongoing session of the National Assembly led by President of the
00:28National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, and now one of the members of the Assembly is about
00:36to take the stand.
00:38Everyone, I want to greet our President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, first
00:45Vice President, legislator, and other legislators.
00:53I want to greet all legislators and lawmakers of all this National Assembly, to all the
00:59Venezuelan people who have bet on the entrepreneurship as a route for the economic development.
01:09We have received by our Constitutional President, re-elected President Nicolás Maduro, a proposal
01:18for reforming this bill, for reforming this law.
01:24As we all know, all legislator, that we have made the public consultations and we have
01:32fulfilled with the first economic law that this National Assembly approved, had the
01:49marvelous phenomenon that emerged with the pandemics, and it was a hope for the Venezuelan
02:00people, those Venezuelan peoples who have bet on entrepreneurship, who have pushed the
02:08national executive, who have strived, who have made the executive to legislate.
02:20We are very proud that after having approved this bill, we have 1.5 million Venezuelans
02:32who are entrepreneurs in Venezuela, who believe in their capacity, believe in the collective
02:46capacities, because entrepreneurship is loving Venezuela, because entrepreneurship is taking
02:54responsibility of our collective to develop the country.
03:02That's why the President Nicolás Maduro has become the President of Entrepreneurs, because
03:08he has understood the capacity of resilience, that capacity of doing that bravery of the
03:17Venezuelan people, and he has made a public policy.
03:25So we are here to preside, and the President has requested something punctual and marvelous.
03:36This law established in 2021 was that the entrepreneurs must be protected for two years,
03:46and then the national executive would guarantee.
03:52So then the President has told us that this bill is not enough, that the Venezuelan entrepreneurs
04:03have to be continued, have to be helped, and so this bill is directed to safeguarding the
04:13entrepreneurs in Venezuela, and so the government will continue safeguarding the entrepreneurs
04:25of Venezuela, and this is an extraordinary measure that speaks about being able to face
04:34the Venezuelan people, and to say that the Venezuelan government will continue surveilling
04:41to protecting the rights of the Venezuelan people, and days earlier we have seen terrible
04:49images of a girl who has been a victim of hate and fascism, and this is not a coincidence
04:57that an entrepreneur girl has been attacked, is the synthesis of hate and contempt that
05:10the far right feels for those who are entrepreneurs in Venezuela, because entrepreneurs are defeating
05:20the hopeless, and the hate, precisely fascism, is directing their weapons to end the hope
05:31of Venezuelan people, thus those images won't be repeated again, and the necessary laws
05:41that the National Assembly approved will continue to protect our entrepreneurs.
05:47In this way, dear President, dear legislators of this National Assembly, I ask you to go
05:55to a great public consultation, to listen to the entrepreneurs, to those 1.5 million
06:03Venezuelans who are entrepreneurs, and let's do the necessary reform of this law.
06:13Thank you very much.
06:14We were listening to one of the interventions at this session of the National Assembly.
06:25This is the session in which the legislator is approving, in its second session on the
06:31matter, the funding, a law on funding of the NGOs.
06:36Let's listen.
06:37According to a recent study made by private universities in Venezuela, 4.7 million of
06:49Venezuelans, mostly majorities, are made up of entrepreneurs, triple of what was mentioned
06:57a year later, plus the rate of the entrepreneur activity in October 2021, by which the law
07:12We were listening to the different legislators that are in the session of the National Assembly
07:38in Venezuela.
07:39They were discussing actually the approval of the law regarding the funding of NGOs in
07:45the country.
07:46We'll come back with further information on Venezuela and also the world in upcoming news
07:51brief.
07:52Stay with us.
