Classic postcards are making a comeback in Belgium this summer
The Belgian Post service Bpost is seeing a steady decline in physical mail, but postcards are enjoying a revival.

00:05It's a bit of a retro object.
00:08It's true that my generation, we could think that we use the postcard less,
00:12but we chose it and it's a physical object that we keep,
00:16so it's also a souvenir for the person who receives it.
00:19For me, it's really important to capture this moment
00:22and to share it with the person.
00:25For me, it's really a vector of emotions,
00:28of memories, of childhood.
00:40At BiPost, we don't make any difference
00:42in the numbers between postcards and normal mail, like letters,
00:46but we see a decline of between 5 and 10% each year.
00:52Last year, it was a decline of 8.4%.
