Bryan takes the lead going into the award show earning a total of 19 nominations in categories including 'People's Artist of 2024,' 'Male Artist of 2024,' 'Album of 2024,' and 'Song of 2024.' Beyoncé follows closely behind with 17 nods total following the debut of her critically acclaimed country album Cowboy Carter , which was released in March. Musgraves received 15 nominations earning recognition for her most recent album release Deeper Well , her collaboration with Bryan, and her cover of Bob Marley's 'Three Little Birds.' Other nominees include Shaboozey with 12, Kane Brown and Morgan Wallen each with 11, and Luke Combs earning 10. The award ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, September 26 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Actor Ángel Salazar dies at 68. Salazar, who was best known for his work in 1983's Scarface , passed away on Sunday morning. Along with his starring role alongside Al Pacino in the cult classic, Salazar also starred in a variety of movies and television shows including Punchline , Carlito's Way , Boulevard Nights , and In Living Color . The news of his passing was confirmed by representative Roger Paul. A cause of death has yet to be revealed. Rapper Flavor Flav creates special bronze clock necklace for Jordan Chiles amid Olympic medal dispute. The 65-year-old rapper has been vocal about his support of Jordan Chiles amid controversy over her bronze medal. On August 11, after it was learned that the gymnast would likely have to return the medal, Flavor Flav sent Chiles a message via X, formerly known as Twitter, extending an offer to make her a one of a kind bronze clock necklace. Just days later and now the rapper has revealed that very necklace, writing 'USA gonna Fight the Powers that be,,, in the meantime between time,,, Imma always a man of my word.'
