Zelenskyy says Ukraine reaching its 'strategic goal' in Kursk region, hints at increased leverage

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that Ukraine is reaching its "strategic goal" in the offensive in the Kursk region.

Zelenskyy said in a nightly address that the advance had significantly increased the "exchange fund" for Ukraine.

Zelenskyy also praised Ukrainian military personnel for success in the strikes on Russian airfields.

Ukraine claimed that overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, it conducted its biggest attack on Russian military airfields since the start of the Kremlin's full-scale invasion in February 2022.
