00:00and we'll be right back. How
00:05the West was one boy. That is
00:06going to be a story we are
00:07going to tell because at the
00:08beginning of the season, we
00:09expected a lot of teams to try
00:11to fight and scratch and claw
00:12with the Los Angeles Dodgers
00:13midway through the season.
00:14Looked like it was a runaway.
00:15Not so fast that wild card race
00:17heating up because of the West
00:19the Diamondbacks five straight
00:20games. They've won nine winners
00:22of nine of their last ten the
00:23Padres winners of nine of the
00:24last ten won two games in a row
00:26they lead the wild card and
00:27also the Braves still in the
00:29wild card race and Reds first
00:31talk to us about that race in
00:32the NOS keeping the Dodgers, you
00:34know on their P's and Q's but
00:35also that wild card race is
00:37really tough. Are there any odd
00:38men out that you're looking for
00:40in that race like the Reds the
00:41Cardinals the Giants that you
00:42don't think might be able to
00:43cross that finish line. Yeah, I
00:45don't see the Reds doing it now
00:47just because I kind of doubt
00:48like their their offensive
00:50ability, you know, five through
00:51nine. I think their front three
00:53can be formidable. Ellie
00:54Dela Cruz is one of the best
00:55players in baseball. I view the
00:57one of the odd men out. I would
00:59say the Cardinals kind of fit
01:01that billing to just because I
01:03doubt, you know that starting
01:05pitching over the course of the
01:07final six seven weeks of the
01:08regular season here the Giants
01:10man. I'm not counting them out
01:12just yet. Blake Snell is
01:13throwing like one of the better
01:14pitchers in all the Major League
01:15baseball. They just got Robbie
01:17Ray back. We know who Logan Webb
01:19is. They can pitch their way
01:21into the conversation. They
01:22already have and frankly, they
01:24can stay there by starting
01:25pitching. You know who I'm
01:26really worried about is the
01:28Atlanta Braves. I this offense
01:31wins click. It's August 14th. I
01:34know that they hold on to that
01:35final wildcard spot, but you go
01:38piece by piece in the Braves and
01:40the Mets lineup. I it is a lot
01:43closer than it should be and do
01:45the Braves have the edge. Maybe
01:47I guess like it helps that
01:49Marcelo Zuna is doing what he's
01:50doing. But at the end of the day
01:52I was expecting a heck of a lot
01:53more from Matt Olsen this year.
01:55I was expecting a heck of a lot
01:56more from Orlando Arcia this
01:58year and Olsen relatively
02:00speaking has been
02:01underperforming. Arcia has just
02:02been brutal in that nine spot in
02:05the batting order. Like the
02:06Braves are really starting to I
02:09don't know up my heart rate a
02:11little bit up my blood pressure
02:12with them.
