Choose process over tools

00:00On Monday, I made a video about milestones matter and in that video is
00:05talking about not populating your project management tool with a bunch of
00:12tasks before you started a project.
00:14I stuck that on LinkedIn and Twitter and I got a couple of people talk about
00:20why you they basically said, well, you need to tasks to know where the
00:28project goes absolutely you obviously do but again it you can't put the
00:36tasks in unless you know the process.
00:38So once you know the process once you get into the project and actually know
00:42it then you can actually populate the project.
00:46But also if you have the right SOPs and the right processes processes in
00:54place then you going by that process then you would obviously populate the
01:01project because you have a clear way of working a clear process in the way you
01:06work but before you have that process so actually process matters first before
01:13milestones, which is what the name of the video on the topic of the video on
01:19So the process matters way more than any tool that you want to get because I
01:26still get people say what I've tried this tool and this tool and I and this
01:31tool and nothing seems to work.
01:33Well, if you don't have the process ready and actually written up then there's
01:39no way any tools going to be able to help you in any way whatsoever.
01:43So process matters and the process matters way more than the tool.
