00:00Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Davis here, chairman of the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust and here is our intrepid fitter Ian, who's been on this journey for a very long time.
00:13Now for the best part of two and a half years, Tornado, in whose cab we are currently stood of course, has been undergoing the most incredibly comprehensive overhaul, including the fitting of European train control system.
00:27But the great moment has now arrived where we're actually going to light the engine up.
00:31We're putting in what the aficionados call a warming fire, which will help to warm the engine through.
00:38And then over the next couple of days, we will bring up to boiling point and get some pressure on the clock ready for the boiler inspector.
00:47So what we're going to do now is light the rags.
00:50We've already got the coal and wood inside the firebox.
00:54And just to prove that it's actually happening, once we've finished this clip, we'll do another one outside and show you some very welcome smoke coming out the chimney.
01:03Are we good to go Ian?
01:04I think so, we're going to go in.
01:05Yeah.
01:06The embarrassing thing will be when the cigarette lighter doesn't work.
01:10I'll take the eyebrows off.
01:16Alright, she's awake.
02:46.
