00:00Now we go to the Chicago Bears.
00:05Again, the expectations are sky-high in the Windy City
00:09with number one overall pick, Caleb Williams.
00:12Not only a generational talent at the quarterback spot, as is expected,
00:16but a team that won five of its final seven regular season games a year ago.
00:21Matt Eberfloos holds on to his job, and there was a conversation
00:25because of that winning stretch down the end of the regular season
00:29would the Bears keep Justin Fields or would they hold on to the number one pick?
00:34Of course, they draft Caleb Williams and make many other shrewd moves
00:38to bolster that side of the football this offseason.
00:41They add DeAndre Swift. They add Keenan Allen via trade.
00:44They pay D.J. Moore, the biggest contract extension in history of this Bears franchise.
00:49And also in the top ten, they select Roma Dunze, the talented wide receiver
00:54out of Washington, ninth overall.
00:56The Bears have added resources to the offensive side of the ball.
01:00It's expected to give Chicago a winning record in 2024.
01:04It is, and it's all dependent to see how Caleb Williams is going to turn out as your quarterback.
01:08If you get above average quarterback play, there's a legitimate chance they can actually make the playoffs,
01:12which means four decent chances out of one division for all four teams to make the playoffs.
01:17Now granted, that's probably not going to happen, and rightfully so.
01:20They'll beat each other up, hold each other out. We understand that.
01:23But the one thing you can say about the Chicago Bears, if there's one term I want to use,
01:26it's going to be fun this year. No doubt about it.
01:28You're taking a look at an offense that should be fantastic, fun to watch.
01:32Is it always going to provide touchdowns and aerial highlights? Maybe not.
01:36It's still a young quarterback that's going to learn the ropes of the NFL quite quickly here.
01:40But you can't give a quarterback this young, this many weapons, and not expect him to succeed
01:45specifically on what we expected coming out of Caleb Williams over the past couple years in college.
01:50Moore, Allen, and Odunze, as good as it gets here. DeAndre Swift in the backfield.
01:54And also the combination of, if the defense isn't all that great for Chicago,
01:58you take a look at the offenses in that division, as we just talked about.
02:01The Green Bay Packers, and specifically here, the front-end talent of the Detroit Lions.
02:05You're going to get some high-scoring efforts here in the NFC North.
