Taiwan may pull away from its representative office in Macao or close it down completely after the government there demanded Taiwanese staff to sign a "one China" agreement.

00:07Macau's government recently told Taiwanese staff at the representative office they would
00:11need to sign a one-China agreement to renew their visas there.
00:15The staff have all refused to agree to such terms.
00:18The Mainland Affairs Council is proposing to close the office completely or restaff
00:22it with Macau locals.
00:24That's similar to action Taiwan's Hong Kong office took when they were put under the same
00:28restrictions in 2021.
