00:00the great things about preseason football. You get to see
00:06rookies around the National Football League make their NFL
00:10debuts and for a ton of rookies at the quarterback spot. We got
00:15a lot of action over this full first weekend of NFL preseason
00:20contest that featured number one overall pick Caleb Williams
00:23making his NFL debut on Saturday in Buffalo number two
00:27overall pick Jaden Daniels spinning it on Saturday at Met
00:31Life. Drake May saw a possession for New England on
00:36Thursday and then some pretty strong sample sizes out of
00:39Michael Pennix Jr. JJ McCarthy and Bo Nicks to round out the
00:44weekend. So it ties us back to the NFL offensive rookie of the
00:48year odds. Caleb Williams of Chicago remains that favorite
00:52at plus 150 Jaden Daniels number two overall pick looking
00:57good in his NFL preseason debut. Now six to one Marvin
01:01Harrison Jr. rounds out the top three at plus 850 again
01:06entering the first week of the preseason. Caleb was the short
01:09favorite same price plus 140, but both Daniels and Harrison
01:13Jr. tied for the second best number at seven to one. So the
01:17market working positively in the manner of Jaden Daniels.
01:21Yeah, and again it should be working that way because he is
01:24the starter he barring injury. He's going to play all 17 weeks
01:28and also he has an unbelievable talent and athletic ability to
01:31get outside of the pocket and run for hundreds of yards on
01:34the season. I think he can approach that 78900 range if he
01:38does stay healthy and he's electric as I think he's going
01:41to be, but obviously Caleb Williams set up the he's going
01:44to be fine. I really think he's going to be great in Chicago,
01:47so it's going to be hard to upend him. Therefore, I do
01:49agree with that plus 140 price, but if you are looking a little
01:51bit farther down the list, yeah, Marvin Harrison Jr. Is
01:54going to have a very good season. Xavier Worthy,
01:56obviously playing with maybe the best quarterback of all
01:58time. Malik neighbors, an unbelievable talent. Just I
02:00don't know if that offense is going to be able to give him
02:02enough of what he needs, but when you slide it down and take
02:05a look at Michael Pennix Jr. At 75 to one. Yeah, you say boy
02:08that's a great price. We obviously understand he's not
02:10starting here, but if you are saying alright, I like let's
02:13just say Jaden Daniels been at a six to one price. Wouldn't
02:15you still sprinkle a little flyer on Michael Pennix Jr.
02:18because let's just say and nobody's rooting for this, but
02:20it's football and it happens and you saw it last year. Let's
02:23just say Kirk Cousins gets injured, whether it be a
02:26concussion, whether it be an Achilles or a knee and let's
02:28just say he's even down not for the season been two to three
02:31weeks. Pennix comes in and plays great football. I don't
02:34know if they ever go back to Kirk Cousins at this point. So
02:36that's 75 to one price is interesting. If there is an
02:39injury now, is that going to be your five-star best play of the
02:42season? Michael Pennix Jr. to be working there. No, it isn't,
02:44but at that price point a couple dollars just might make
02:47some sense.
