00:05Do you know what Pinaso is?
00:08Pinaso is a traditional snack of Bulacan.
00:12Pinaso is made from salted crackers,
00:17which is a mixture of egg and milk.
00:20It's usually prepared during Christmas.
00:25It's called Pinaso because of the caramelized sugar
00:29that is poured on top.
00:32But the cooking process of Pinaso
00:34is getting more and more nervous.
00:38Aside from the few things they make,
00:40some Bulacan people are not familiar with it.
00:44I'm not familiar with Pinaso.
00:48That's why Chef Mac is one of those
00:50who studies and lives up to the traditions of the Bulacan people.
00:55Pinaso is one of them.
00:59Looks like you have a Pinaso opponent.
01:01Go ahead and flex.
01:04And did you know, Mami Su and Kawanders,
01:07Pinaso is an original dish made by Malolos women.
01:13Back in the Spanish era,
01:15biscuits and leftover bread were used to make it.
01:20When the Americans brought imported products,
01:24they used biscuit soda to make it,
01:27which is known as a Hello Joe recipe.
01:31After we mix it,
01:33we'll cook it until it thickens.
01:37We'll also add sugar and lemon.
01:52Pinaso is now ready.
01:58And so that it won't burn,
02:00we'll put it in the oven.
02:03And so that we won't forget it,
02:05we'll let our Kawanders taste it.
02:09More on the sweetness,
02:13it tastes like leche flan,
02:16but it has a different texture.
02:20It's good.
02:21It's sweet and soft.
