00:00Hey, what's up? It's Sav Hudson from Between Friends and today I'm going to show you some of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe.
00:07I would describe my style as fun, eclectic, silly, happy-go-lucky.
00:14I don't know. I definitely like to play around.
00:17I think I'm in an age right now where I just want to try everything before it's too late,
00:23even though I think I'll continue doing this for the rest of my life.
00:26Okay, this is a very special piece to me.
00:29My brother had it made for me this past Christmas.
00:34Between Friends is the name of our project.
00:37Got a little Between Friends there too. I love to wear it.
00:42This is a piece from a brand called Borbala.
00:46She actually uses all recycled materials when making her clothes.
00:51I wore this for a music video called Laurel.
00:54There's a skirt that matches, but it's in storage now.
00:58It's out of all recycled plastic. It's crazy.
01:02She has another piece, actually, that she also made for me and that I brought out.
01:08It's just so special. I've worn this a lot more than I thought I would as a dress or as a top with jeans under.
01:18I wore this for a Friends Grammy afterparty.
01:22Very fun, very funky.
01:25This is a very cool piece. This is vintage Comme des Garçons.
01:29I think, what I can gather, they chopped up a suit jacket and they just kind of piled it all on top of each other.
01:39This part goes over right here, and it's just a really chic, really sexy vibe.
01:47This piece is a grail of all grails.
01:52This is ERD and Daft Punk.
01:57For Daft Punk's last album, they, for their merch line, did a collaboration with ERD.
02:04They only made a few pieces.
02:07My brother and I share this, but it's very special.
02:11Very cool. We love Daft Punk.
02:15This is kind of funny. It's vintage 90s Miu Miu.
02:19I've actually never worn it because I got it from an estate sale and it's damaged.
02:25I just don't want to take it somewhere to get fixed because I'm too scared they're going to ruin it.
02:31I've worn the top many times before, and the skirt looks like this. It's gorge.
02:38But I just love it, and I like to know that it's in my closet. It makes me happy.
02:43I love Miu Miu.
02:45Okay, these are fun.
02:47Martina Cox makes these, and there's a surprise on the butt.
02:54Basically, this is the front, and then on the little cheeks, it's like windows.
03:03I've only worn these once out in public, and I wore more covered underwear underneath just because I'm not that scandalous.
03:14But I just think they're so cool.
03:17All of her work, she plays with tapestry, window, curtains.
03:24She has tops that she makes where it's right here.
03:28I just think it's so fun and creative, and I love her work.
03:32This is very special.
03:34One of my very, very close friends, Lindsey, has a brand called Verkonik,
03:39and she makes all of this knitwear herself by hand.
03:44I have tops from her, sweaters from her, leg warmers.
03:48She actually just sent me this sweet little number, and I'm just obsessed.
03:53I think she's so talented.
03:55This is like a double whammy story because I have shoes that go along with this,
04:00but we played a show in New York a few months back,
04:06and I got a call to be a part of a Heaven by Marc Jacobs campaign.
04:11I was not expecting it.
04:13I was so excited, and I was super hungover, but I got my butt up and got there.
04:19Afterwards, I was just alone walking around in New York, and I had my headphones on.
04:24I just felt so lucky, and then I went into this vintage store, and I saw this jacket.
04:29I thought I'd get myself a little anecdote from that special day.
04:34These are the shoes from the shoot, Marc Jacobs.
04:40These are the Kiki boots, I think.
04:44I have yet to wear them out because I'm too afraid I'm going to be eight feet tall and hurt myself,
04:53but it's another one of those things.
04:55I just love that it's in my closet.
04:58I want it in my closet.
05:00I like to just admire.
05:03This brand called The Incorporated allowed me to create this dress with them
05:12for our performance at Governor's Ball in New York.
05:16It's still dirty, and I refuse to clean it because it's the memory of me falling down
05:23and getting dirty on stage that I love so much about it.
05:27Basically, I wanted to make a jersey dress gown type thing.
05:31The back says Cutie because that's the name of our EP that came out.
05:36I just love it, and we added all these.
05:39I took them off because I didn't want it to snag,
05:41but my brother and I encrusted this whole collar area with vintage pins.
05:47There were angels and hearts and fun, beautiful stuff,
05:52and then we had him wear the boy version of it.
05:57This was my mom's beautiful dress.
06:02It looks like poochie, but it's not poochie.
06:05She wants me to say that.
06:07It's got this gorgeous leather detailing.
06:11I don't know. I just think it's so fun,
06:13and I like to always have a piece of her with me wherever I go.
06:19I love this dress with little buns and a little dark lip.
06:25This is a very special dress.
06:28As you can see, it's very Italian looking.
06:33I am half Italian,
06:36and I went to Italy a few summers ago with my family,
06:40and I thrifted this dress, and I couldn't believe that it was real.
06:45It has the gornou on it,
06:47which is a very Italian good luck type warding bad energy off,
06:55and it's just encrusted on the back.
06:58It's like a necklace on the back,
07:00and then we got the grapes.
07:03We got the little tiny guitar.
07:06This is fun.
07:08I also share this with my brother,
07:10but our manager got this for us for Christmas, I think, or a birthday.
07:15It's this gorgeous off-white trench coat,
07:20and it's reversible, so you can be plain and simple,
07:24or you can be like Kodak.
07:27This is a vintage bowling bag,
07:30and it did have a bowling ball in it,
07:33but I am not using it for that purpose.
07:36I think it's a very fun purse to use.
07:41I brought it on our entire second leg of tour this past time we went out,
07:47and I put so much stuff in there.
07:49I will say the one nonpractical thing about it is when you zip,
07:56it's all open, but beauty is pain.
08:00This is a very special piece to me.
08:03I live in L.A.
08:05I grew up going to the Chateau Marmont,
08:08love Gucci, and they just so happened to do a collab.
08:13I was having dinner there six years ago,
08:16and they just had these above the check-in desk in a box,
08:21and I was like, what is that?
08:23It's like, oh yeah, we did a collab with Gucci,
08:25and it's no big deal, and I'm like, yeah, I'm going to need that forever.
08:29And so my best friend and I got matching ones,
08:32and it's just very, very special to me.
08:35I don't know, I just love it.
08:37I have a huge infatuation with Japanese culture and fashion.
08:44I just love it. I admire it.
08:46I was at this store called Search and Destroy,
08:50and they get all of their best vintage from Japan,
08:55like from estate sales or auction houses,
08:58and this is just like a perfect purse.
09:02She's fun.
09:04This very extremely deconstructed little lambie bag
09:11just makes every outfit a little more cute.
09:16This brand is called Lucky Jewel.
09:19They use old puffer jackets, and they just like sew it.
09:24It's just everything is like recycled and upcycled,
09:26and I just love that.
09:28There's a theme here for that.
09:31You should always upcycle, recycle, reuse.
09:34She's cute.
09:36This is ready for whatever.
09:39Like you can take me to the park.
09:42You can take me to a party.
09:44You can take me to school,
09:46and it's all acceptable because this is amazing.
09:50These are Dior moon boots.
09:52I think my friend had to fight someone for them
09:55in order to get them for me.
09:57The inside is like not lined, hard to wear,
10:03but I just love them.
10:04All right.
10:05I'm not sure if I'm completely butchering this name,
10:09but by Linnea Christine,
10:13just made the most amazing art of a boot for me
10:20for a music video that I shot called Orange Juice,
10:23and I couldn't have dreamt of something as perfect as this.
10:30All of these little animals are real stuffed animals,
10:33so it just carries the weight of that,
10:35and like when you wear them,
10:37it feels like you're ready to conquer.
10:41I guess I'll start with this piece
10:43just because it's screaming my name.
10:46This is a beautiful piece by Karina Gutos.
10:50She hand makes all of this jewelry,
10:52and she uses like real shells,
10:55and she pierces them,
10:57and I just think it's so cool,
10:59like playing with something so natural
11:03and adding something kind of more like hard
11:06to such a soft-looking thing.
11:09I think this is probably the most self-explanatory piece on here.
11:17I was in Berlin with my two best friends.
11:20I go almost every summer with them,
11:23and I love techno,
11:26and Berlin loves techno,
11:28and I was at this store,
11:30and they had these little pendants
11:34kind of like on a clip-on earring,
11:36but I saw that he was custom-making
11:39another pair of earrings for somebody else
11:42that had these like diamond-looking things on them,
11:45and I was like, hey, can you do that to mine?
11:48And he was like, yeah, come back in an hour,
11:50and I'll do it for you.
11:51This little box has something fun in it.
11:57My grill.
11:59Should I put it on?
12:01Okay.
12:02It's a gift,
12:04and it's fabulous.
12:08So this is a work in progress.
12:11It doesn't look like much,
12:13but I have this fun idea,
12:14and I think I need one more,
12:16or I need someone to help me
12:18who knows how to work with jewelry.
12:19These are vintage G-shocks, baby Gs,
12:22because I'm baby G,
12:24and I wanted to like make it a choker of some sort,
12:28but I think I need like two more
12:30so that like the face of the watch
12:35can be like in a row.
12:38These are vintage Dior sunglasses
12:42that I think are up there
12:45with like some of my favorite sunglasses of all time.
12:52They're just, I mean,
12:54I don't even have to say anything.
12:55It's just self-explanatory.
12:57You're always going fast when you wear these.
13:00You're never slowing down.
13:02Another pair of sunglasses that are vintage.
13:05These were also my mother's Chanel sunglasses.
13:08I hope she doesn't watch this
13:10because she'll know that I stole them.
13:13Come on.
13:15Come on.
13:19A Tamagotchi necklace.
13:21I have two of these,
13:23but I thought I'd bring this one out first
13:26because it was my first one,
13:29and I've actually waited until this day
13:33to pull the tab.
13:36Should we do it?
13:40Now I gotta feed them all the time.
13:42Thank you so much, Who What Wear,
13:44for having me today.
13:45I had so much fun sharing with you
13:47all the very special eclectic pieces
13:50from my wardrobe,
13:51and maybe you can come over again soon
13:53and I'll show you the rest of the closet.
