00:00That's still to come later on tonight but up next our second match of the evening to be contested
00:04inside the elimination chamber. This will be for the vacant intercontinental championship. One of
00:12six men will become the intercontinental champion here tonight. The reason that the intercontinental
00:18championship was vacated was because Daniel Bryan had to give up the intercontinental
00:23championship due to injury a number of weeks ago. Who's going to be taking Rusev's place though?
00:28Yeah that's what we want to know because Rusev with a fractured foot will not be involved in
00:33this match tonight. He's not medically cleared to compete. We'll find out in just a bit who will
00:38replace Rusev inside the elimination chamber. There's the vacated intercontinental championship.
00:43There's the former intercontinental champion Daniel Bryan looking on from ringside. Daniel
00:48Bryan was a guest of Miz TV earlier on tonight as part of the elimination chamber kickoff show. We
00:53know that Daniel Bryan will present the championship to the winner of this elimination
00:58chamber match. Why did he vacate the intercontinental title? Daniel Bryan told us all about it a few
01:03weeks ago on Raw. The intercontinental championship should not be sitting on a physical therapist
01:13chair. It deserves to be in this ring and in this ring is where I am going to leave it.

01:48the following is an elimination chamber match and it is for the vacant
01:55intercontinental championship. This match begins with two superstars in the ring and the four other
02:03competitors enclosed in their respective pods. Every four minutes a pod door will open allowing
02:10another competitor to enter. This process will continue until all of the pods are empty. However
02:17at any time if a superstar is penned or submits he is eliminated and must exit the elimination
02:24chamber. The last superstar remaining will be crowned the new intercontinental champion.
02:41Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Is this the man that's taking Rusev's legs?

07:00Ryback it didn't have to be that way he said if you work your tail off if you do everything you
07:04can do to win it'll happen so tonight for that kid who he knows is watching this match is for
07:09him tonight Ryback says the good guy wins. Well he better be hungry because it's said that
07:19chamber got a lot on his plate tonight. A lot of people calling their shots on Joe Namath's birthday
07:24and we now know the two men who will start the elimination chamber match for the intercontinental

09:26So Barrett and Ziggler will start things off every four minutes. Another superstar
09:31will be released from a pod and enter and here we go for the intercontinental title.

10:13If Barrett would win tonight he would creep ever so
10:16closer to the record nine times of Jericho. Kick out by Ziggler.
10:29John this is obviously a much different chamber match than we saw earlier tonight.
10:34Again you've been in chamber matches before. Any particular strategy you use especially if you're
10:40the first two men out? The first two men out the key is to survive. Look you can't win it early
10:46but you can lose early. The key thing you have to do is wait till all those pods open to be the last
10:51one in there. Survive. Now whatever you have to do, do it. Barrett. Ziggler. Get away from the action.
11:02Hide from the action. Whatever you have to do to make it to the end because you can't win it until
11:07the end. You can lose but you can't win. Well I think Dolph was trying to prove that you could
11:12beat your first opponent early. Doesn't happen very often but I think that's what Dolph was
11:17hoping for. You'd add a little rest period before you open that next chamber and if you could keep
11:22that that kind of a roll going that would work. We saw in the first chamber match tonight the
11:27importance of how late you enter the chamber. New Day entered last and retained the tag team titles.
11:33The number five slot. Fifth person to enter the chamber match has yielded the most winners over
11:40the years. Five winners. Triple H has won three times from the number five position.
11:45The number six spot now with five winners as well thanks to the New Day win tonight.
11:50Well the one strategy that changes is if you start you want to take your opponent like you
11:53said as far as possible. Dolph may throw one of the prettiest drop kicks in the business right now.

17:45Someone else is going to get into this match. What if it was Mark Henry's pod? What if it's
17:49somebody else's? Oh there's only two left. Mark Henry's in this thing officially and
17:57now it's Ryback as well. Here comes the big guy. No eliminations yet. Mark Henry and Ryback
18:04who've had a rich history. In fact these two men met at Wrestlemania one year.
18:13Barrett and Ziggler in it too along with R-Truth. All five men still alive. Sheamus still in his pod.

18:45I think all King Barrett was trying to do was just smash Dolph Ziggler as hard as he could.

20:41Five men remain including Seamus who's still locked in the pod. Barrett's got to head back

21:08allegiance here? Want to make a deal with somebody in there? I would. Me too.

21:26Only thing being struck right now is Dolph. Ryback and Dolph. And R-Truth.

36:16champion. It has been a long wait for Ryback but he finally can call himself champion.
