00:23I know I'm deeply, deeply sad sa pagtagal nating mother.

00:28Kasi, papagtagal ko sa talaga ko na siya ayaw naman.

00:32Kasi, she is really, literally, a second mother to me.

00:38I began my career in show business in the producing side.

00:46Mother gave me the break as a producer.

00:50First, as a night producer for movies.

00:55Sabi ko kay Mayor Pong Ricardo at one given time.

01:00Sabi ko, Mayor Pong, I'm Pong.

01:05Kaya ko naman maging night producer tulad mo.

01:08Kasi, gusto ko sana maging night producer.

01:11Ako sabi niya, oo, kaya kaya mo mami. Ano ka ba? Matalido ka naman.

01:16So, with his blessings of Mayor Pong, pinuruan niya ako patiently on how to do my production.

01:25At that given time, I was the manager of Maricel Soriano.

01:30Who I managed for around 18 to 20 years.

01:34Na naging isang original regal baby.

01:37That's why I was very close to Mother, really.

01:40Dahil, aside from being manager of Maricel,

01:43sya, there is that relationship also with the producer.

01:48Dahil, yun ang dapat.

01:51It has been a smooth relationship with Mother as our producer.

01:59Both Maricel and myself.

02:01And hindi ko makarimunan yung point na ganun palang Chinese

02:07na pag pinagkatiwalaan ka ng isang proyekto toloy-toloy yung pagkatiwalaan niya.

02:15I never lost that trust. Thank you, Mother.

02:19Because, if I would recall, my journey to regal television,

02:27I was trusted with one show, which is Mother's Studio Presents.

02:32And off we went regularly to faraway Paranaque

02:39to visit and deal with the Archangel Joseph

02:43who started our regal television via Mother's Studio Presents.

02:49And then after that project, that project became very successful

02:56because it became a consistent top-rater on GMA7.

03:02Then after Mother's Studio Presents, there came many others

03:06like Regal Shocker, Regal Drama Presents Aiko, 13.015, at maraming pang iba.

03:15And it ended up, nung naging lima na yung TV shows na pinahahawak sa akin ni Mother Lili.

03:23Ang sabi ko, I think it's about time that she looks for another person na katulad ko, na same level.

03:31Kasi lima na yung nahawakan ko eh.

03:34And that's a very hectic sketch for me.

03:37Dahil, in order to be on top of five TV programs na running every week, madugo yun.

03:46But Mother kept, sabi niya, no, no more running.

03:49I would not like to hire another person aside from you.

03:54Dahil, lukin mo lang yung tao yan.

03:56Bawat tao niya, mama. You supervise them.

03:59And then you take charge. You're on top of that.

04:02Because I only want to deal with you. No one else.

04:06Siyempre, given the opportunity, diba, I'm very thankful that Mother trusted me that much.

04:15Nakakataba ng puso dahil yung pagpitiwala niya, pagpitiwala niya talagang sobrang sobra.

04:25And I'm very thankful of that.

04:27Of course, because of free television, binigyan ako ni Mother ni Rina ang bahay.

04:33Without asking.

04:35Tanong lang yan sa akin,

04:37Manny, may bahay ka na ba?

04:40Sabot ko, Mother, wala ako.

04:43Bumili ka na bahay.

05:03I didn't want to take advantage of the generosity of Mother Lady.

05:54There have been times na nagkakaroon sila ng gap.

05:59Siyempre, me and Maricela Soriano, the one I managed before.

06:04Kasi, siyempre, it's not a solid journey.

06:10Meron ups and downs of the relationship,

06:13given the fact that they are more or less very passionate people.

06:19Mother is passionate.

06:21And so, with Maricela, very passionate.

06:24So, I was just always on the middle,

06:26trying to make a way to pacify things

06:30and make the relationship better and to be more productive

06:36so that Regal Films, kasi, one is the aside,

06:40Regal Films naman made Maricela.

06:44And with all the many box offices of Maricela,

06:48naging isa siyang treasured Regal Baby ni Mother Lili.

06:54One thing more, before I forget,

06:57is I would like to thank Roselle Monteverde

07:03because, medyo mga pangaligot si kwento ko,

07:06the last memory of me with Mother Lili is thanks to Roselle.

07:12She invited me to a early dinner in Lonior Alleys with Mother.

07:19And I was very thankful kasi, for the longest time,

07:22I wanted to have dinner with her.

07:25Thank you to Kusama,

07:26because they crowned Lil' Sexy Mama Lili as the Mother of the Year

07:30because they visited Mother Lili in Green Hills.

07:33Tapos, hindi ako kasama.

07:35And then, right after that, Roselle invited me.

07:40So, readily, with her invitation,

07:44tulid-tulid angat ako sa Gloria Manis.

07:48And sabi nga Roselle,

07:50O, Mani, si Mother hindi nalawala ba sa bahay yan?

07:53Pero, eto, dawa ba siya ng bahay?

07:56Kasi, na-miss na rin niya ang Gloria Manis food na paborito niya.

08:00And then, she was there.

08:02She was sitting and, you know, made an effort to eat.

08:07Kasi, di ba, medyo kahilang na siyang dumutok or tumakin.

08:11And, I saw the, you know, how much Roselle cared for her mother.

08:18So, I got very touched.

08:21It is, I will never forget that moment.

08:24Simply because Mother kept saying,

08:26I miss you, Mani.

08:29I miss you, Mani.

08:31Paulit-ulit.

08:34Those were her lines.

08:37Only, those were her only lines at the funeral.

08:40I miss you, Mani.

08:42Of course, I would say, I would reply back,

08:45I miss you, Mani, too, Mother. I love you.

08:48So, thank you, Roselle, for giving me that moment.

08:53Because, I will forever treasure that.

08:57And, it's a very good closure that whatever I am to create,

09:02is very much because of Mother.
