बीजेपी प्रवक्ता अतुल भातखलकर ने सदन में जया बच्चन मामले पर कहा कि देखो राज्यसभा में या लोकसभा में जो विपक्ष के लोग हैं वह जानबूझकर राज्यसभा लोकसभा का जो सदन का कामकाज है, उसमें बाधा डालना चाहते हैं, रोकना चाहते हैं क्योंकि उनके पास चर्चा करने के लिए मुद्दे नही है। वक़्फ़ बोर्ड संशोधन लाने वाला कानून लाया उसके ऊपर चर्चा के बाद अपोजिशन ने मांग की वह स्टैंडिंग कमेटी के पास भेजना चाहिए सरकार जनतंत्र पर विश्वास रखने वाली सरकार है विपक्ष की मांग पूरी की जेपीसी में भेज दिया। अब नया बहाना ढूंढ लिया। इस के लिए विपक्ष दलों का खासकर समाजवादी पार्टी हो या राहुल गांधी हो इनका जनतंत्र के ऊपर विश्वास नहीं है क्योंकि उनके पास जनता के हित के सही मुद्दे नहीं है। उसके लिए बहाना निकाल कर सदन के जो पीठासीन अधिकारी है उनके तरफ उंगली कर उनके ऊपर बेबुनियाद आरोप लगाना, यह विपक्ष का काम है। संसद और जनतंत्र को खतरा में डालने का काम विपक्ष कर रहा है।
