June 23, 24, 29, 2017 First pride and meeting Eric
It's the day they have been waiting for, Pride celebrations in Lexington, Kentucky. Amberlynn takes a trip to the big city with Hannah, Rafe, & Becky where they start the day having a good time, but by the evening they're sitting on the side of the road due to car trouble. Amberlynn spends a week at Becky's house where she films a video with Becky's roommate Eric. She convinces him to start his own YouTube channel so they record his first video. A few days later it's time to wrap up the Pride vlog and her visit with Becky.

00:00We start the day on the road with Hannah and Rafe in the front and Becky and Amberlynn in the back.
00:04They're on their way to pride celebrations in Lexington, Kentucky.
00:07When they arrive in Lexington, Amberlynn films clips of the festivities
00:16showing Hannah looking at a booth, pins she's wearing to show her pride, snow cones with Becky,
00:25and a person wearing a dragon costume in the middle of July heat.
00:30After three hours of walking, they finally find somewhere to sit. Amberlynn says she
00:36bought Becky a t-shirt. It's been really fun and really nice. I've enjoyed myself.
00:46On the way home, they find themselves stuck on the side of the road waiting for a stranger
00:50in a motorcycle to rescue them. Something is dragging under the car. It's some underpinning
00:56covering for the exhaust. They experience car troubles next year on the way to pride.
01:02Look at like the scratchy part right there. Do you see that? Yeah, that's not it. Some dude
01:07in a motorcycle is gonna come and help us. He just went home for a second to get something. I
01:12don't even know. They're lucky he wasn't a serial killer in Kentucky. I remember when we went to
01:15lake and we found like a tooth and like all kinds of stuff. Remember in the dirt you kept pulling it
01:22out? We found that tooth. I was like, okay, bye. I was scared. It's Kentucky. You never know. Rafe
01:28sits dangerously close to the lane of traffic holding a baseball bat to protect herself from
01:32oncoming traffic or the haters according to Amberlynn. You with a bat though. Yeah, that's
01:38funny. Wait for the haters like. Next. Sorry, I was just locking up the haters. We end the day
01:47on Hannah and Rafe's farm. Amberlynn talks about her feet telling us that her tennis shoes were a
01:51better idea for the hours of walking than the usual wrong flat shoes would have been. I'd rather
01:56wear those because I don't want to be. Babs. Okay, baby. I don't want to be super uncomfortable.
02:02While Amberlynn films her pins, Rafe in Rafe fashion says. Some uh pins. Oh, I was calling
02:09pins. I don't know why. She calls them buttons. It's amazing how helpful Rafe is to Amberlynn
02:15when she says this is the first pin she bought. Rafe lets us know that she's the one who showed
02:19it to Amberlynn because for real showed it to you. I think this is backwards. I'm sorry y'all. It looks
02:25backwards to you guys but it's not. Amberlynn shares one of the highlights of her day. I walked
02:29the whole time like honestly that surprised me because I was scared because the heat and the
02:35crowds and like I am morbidly obese but I actually was able to do it and that was actually kind of
02:40nice. She says she already plans to go next year. It was nice to be around people who like accepted
02:44you. It felt like a family. I just want to let you guys know that pride didn't happen and it's
02:48completely understandable why it didn't. There's always next year. There's always the year after
02:52that etc etc. She decided to get close to the protesters to see what they had to say because I
02:56think it's really funny. At one point they're like y'all need to stop being perverts. There was this
03:00girl next to me. I look at her and I was like what if I want to be a pervert and she started cracking
03:04up but it was really funny. Protesters were screaming with and to you know obviously the
03:11people attending pride. Look what's going on. Yeah look at all this hate that's over here.
03:21The protesters freak her out. She says other than the car issues everyone had a good time. She lets
03:27us in on their plans for the rest of the night. We're gonna do a psychic circle. We did this on
03:30YouNow. Um it's actually quite fun so we're gonna do that and kind of just chill for the rest of
03:35the night. Yeah. We start the next day at Becky's house where she lives with her two roommates Eric
03:40and Ricky. Amber Lynn spends time with Eric convincing him to create his own YouTube channel.
03:44So this is Eric. So say hi. Eric records his first video. Hey guys my name is Eric. I'm 24. I'm really
03:53nervous doing this. This is my first video. I'm just doing this to start like a series up of just
03:58my life and day-to-day things and how it works. Eric married his partner of eight years Ricky
04:02about eight months ago. He introduces us to his two pups Chubbs. He's five years old. I've had him
04:07ever since he was a puppy. He's sweet as can be. He's an old fart. He doesn't really care for children.
04:11Oh really? Yeah. And Trixie who gets excited when Eric says her name. She's only one years old. She's
04:17a full-blooded miniature dash hound. I love her dash. She's my baby girl. He says he has someone
04:22helping him through the nervousness of creating his first vlog. You guys may know who she is. Her
04:26name is. Hi it's Amber Lynn. Amber Lynn. She is actually staying with. I'm so sorry. I'm bad at this. She is staying with me for like a
04:35week. I did invite her to come stay with me to get to know me so. I'm gonna help him out because he
04:44needs a channel and he'll do great. They plan to play video games with a catch. If one of us loses
04:49the game we're going to come up with a dare what the other will do. I may have to take some shots
04:53of tequila or something. We're gonna be playing Mario Kart. They decide to do four rounds where
04:59the loser of each round takes a shot of Eric's tequila. They record on both phones creating their
05:04own videos for each channel. This will be Eric's first video he posts on his now long gone YouTube
05:09page. He's gonna be recording the TV. So you guys know it's fair. We're not lying and trying to
05:14get someone to drink or like fake that we're drinking. Eric's not sure if this will be an
05:18easy win or not. I played with her before. She's actually really good at Mario Kart. She plays like
05:22she's not but she's really good. She plays like she's not good. She and I'm really good at video games. She beat me.
05:28So I mean that's saying something. Yes. Okay let's do this. Eric passes Amberlynn to take over
05:33first place. Is that you? You're gonna be taking that first shot of tequila. No. They get inked.
05:44No. I'm playing dirty. I don't care. The winner of the first round is
05:50Yes. You were so close. Amberlynn takes the first shot. Does that feel good enough? You guys see it? Okay.
06:04You guys ready? There you go. Put some hair on your chest.
06:12Round two. Is that you in front of me? I mean I'm first so. I wasn't paying attention to the
06:17Amberlynn loses her lead but she's not out of the game yet.
06:22Was that you? No it wasn't. They're just haters. Eric has an explanation for Amberlynn finding
06:28herself in fifth place. You're driving out of the influence. The winner of round two is. Wait do I
06:32have to really take another shot right now? Yeah you're gonna have to take another one.
06:38One shot in Amberlynn has a suggestion for Eric. I think you should just take a shot for the hell
06:43of it. Do you want me to take one with you? Yeah sure. I'll take one with you. Amberlynn
06:46pours a shot for Eric. I trust you. Oh my lord oh my lord oh my lord. Okay. Eric says technically
06:53neither one of us came in first so. Ready set go.
07:04That'll put some hair in your chest. Oh my gosh I don't need no hair. They decide to film the next
07:09two rounds for Amberlynn's channel. The second part of it if you guys want to see how it turns
07:12out and who's going to take the rest of the shots you guys can go over to Amberlynn's channel.
07:17Amberlynn recaps the shot score. I've already taken two shots. Eric has taken one. Eric sounds
07:22surprised that he is actually. I'm really enjoying my time with you. Really? Yes I really actually am.
07:28Good. Eric lets slip his secret to winning this round. Literally drinking and driving right now.
07:33I don't plan on losing so. And the winner of round three is. Yes. Oh my gosh this is my third one.
07:42Yes turn up. This is crazy. Oh no are we out? They had less than four shots in the bottle
07:49when they started. Eric comes up with a solution. We have coconut rum. Oh that's good. Let's do
07:53coconut rum. Okay we're gonna we're gonna switch to coconut rum you guys. Eric tells his first lie.
07:58Okay I lied. You're a liar. It wasn't coconut it was actually vanilla. That's gonna be good. Okay
08:04hopefully I won't have to take a shot though. It's the beginning of the last round. All right
08:08last round. Okay the last shot goes to. Yes. Oh my god. Eric has an idea and checks with the viewers
08:19right quick before coming to his conclusion. Do you want me to take one last one with you just
08:23like. With both of us? Yeah. Are you guys okay with that? Yeah okay. Eric decides to fill his
08:26shot glass to the top. I'm feeling it. I don't know about you. Are you feeling it? I mean yeah.
08:32Like he felt like somewhat like I'm feeling like children relax. Feeling. He's feeling it. Yeah.
08:39I think I would feel dizzy. I'm feeling it. Are you feeling it? He felt like I'm feeling I would
08:45feel dizzy. Well that was fun though right? That really was fun. I enjoyed that. Yes that was great.
08:50We're back to Eric's channel now that the game is over and he recaps the four shots Amberlynn took
08:55and the two he drank to keep up. I ended up actually winning. I think she's handling it
09:00great though. Yeah. Yeah. I can handle it good. Yeah. The way Eric keeps saying he actually had
09:06a good time with Amberlynn makes me think he wasn't sure if it would be a good time.
09:10We had fun. It was a really good time though. I really actually enjoyed our time with Amberlynn.
09:16I'm enjoying it with her. She's great. Oh so are you. I'm like vlogging you on your channel. It's
09:21okay. Eric describes the point of his channel saying Amberlynn helped him with his anxiety of
09:26starting his first video. The alcohol taking the edge off helped too. I just want to show people
09:31my day-to-day life and hopefully just give some advice and just have some fun enhancing and making
09:35your guys life enjoyable and laughing at something. Being a goof. Being a clown. That's what I am.
09:39Yes. He says he hopes to inspire others by sharing his life experiences past and present. I really
09:44just hope to be like a beacon for like young gay teens in the community. It's really hard out there
09:49and I think it's just it's good to have someone that you can look up to and you can relate to.
09:52Yes. I agree. We are back on Amberlynn's channel where she wraps up the vlog with Eric. I was
09:56driving under the influence. Oh my god. We were driving under the influence. Today was his first
10:01video he ever did so I'm super excited for him and happy for him. She thinks Eric will do great
10:05with his own channel. He has a lot of stories that he needs to share and really he can inspire a lot
10:10of people. So sweet. You're so sweet. It's a few days later and Amberlynn is finishing her vlog
10:16about going to pride while being proud of helping Becky. I was putting away her laundry because I
10:21did her laundry. She's at work right now so I just figured that was nice of me. She shows us
10:24the flag she and Becky chose. This is the pride flag we got. She's gonna put hers on the wall. I'm
10:29not like 100% sure where I'm putting mine. Amberlynn shows one of the pins Becky picked out
10:34and calls it a button since Rafe told her what to call it. One of the buttons
10:39or pins that she got says nobody knows I'm gay and I thought this was super funny. I kind of
10:46wanted one for myself but it was the last one they had. She describes her pride experience
10:50before ending the vlog for the day. My pride experience was absolutely amazing. Super fun.
