01:28Alexis, can I ask you what made the final decision?
01:31Well, first of all, Kennedy has a win.
01:33I think everybody's going to think that I'm saving Kennedy
01:35because she's my friend.
01:36But I'm actually saving Kennedy because she's my friend.
01:38Hah!
01:39Well, what about these two?
01:42How y'all doing?
01:43I didn't know what you were talking about.
01:44I might have just gotten in a fight with Beerusilicious,
01:45but now we are the last two Canadians.
01:47That's my sister.
01:49I hope you know that was a friendly read.
01:51No, I know.
01:52And honestly, I'm sorry for even coming for you.
01:53I feel like I'm just letting this competition get to my head.
01:56Girl, they're over here like, oh my God, we fight,
01:58and then we're like best friends, and I'm like, bro.
02:01To hear those critiques when I've been trying
02:03to push myself, especially after the critiques.
02:05Last week, I thought I was doing the best that I could,
02:07and then to hear them again, it just made me spiral
02:09and go down a dark place, and I shouldn't have taken out
02:12on anyone here, and I apologize for that.
02:13I just have high expectations of myself,
02:15and I feel like I need to do well,
02:18otherwise I'm letting other people down.
02:20That's me right at the top.
02:21Yeah, I know I was in the top,
02:23I just thought that was my challenge.
02:25Oh, okay.
02:25Next time the judges piss me off again
02:27and no more powder, I'll just take it with a smile.
02:29I don't know, I kind of like it
02:30when you come in around your mouth.
02:31It's interesting.
02:32I know.
02:33Yeah.
02:34Well, I'm ready to get out this makeup.
02:35Can we get out of the track?
02:39So far, you've fought with everyone, so really, who's next?
02:42Cheryl, come here.
02:44Come here.
02:45I'm fucking terrified,
02:46because I've been in the top three times,
02:47and I know that there's a target on my forehead,
02:51there's one on my back, there's one at my butthole,
02:53and all these bitches are trying to hit them.
02:56We have no idea what's about to happen,
02:57we have no idea what the next challenge is,
02:58but all I know is if anyone gets the chance to send me home,
03:01they're gonna try their fucking hardest,
03:02and that's not good.
03:04What's a burger?
03:05Girl, that's all it's good for.
03:09I'm the eighth, I'm feeling great.
03:11It's a new day in the work room,
03:13and I'm looking around, and I just see losers,
03:15because I'm a winner, baby.
03:19Well, Alexis, I want to congratulate you on your win.
03:22Oh my God.
03:23But, I do want to say, if you're the future of drag,
03:27we really should ban drag.
03:28Oh my God.
03:29Oh, no, don't even, that's not funny.
03:32Fierce.
03:34Well, you bitch.
03:35Fierce, are you feeling better this week,
03:36and not crying about being in the top?
03:38I'm not.
03:38I'm not, I'm not.
03:40Yeah.
03:41Oh, girl, shut up.
03:43Did y'all feel extra pressure just being from Canada?
03:45I feel pressure just being here.
03:47And I feel like, honestly,
03:48the last season of Canada versus the World,
03:50a lot of the Canadians were gone.
03:52They went home real quick.
03:53Very, very quickly.
03:54I have to represent for Canada,
03:55because we all know Fierce isn't doing it.
03:59She's gonna kill me.
04:00It's only six of us, so that means,
04:02if you're not in the top, you're gonna be in the bottom.
04:04This be the part of the competition that wears me out.
04:07There's no safe, it's just,
04:08you gotta bring it, or you're low.
04:11I gotta be in the top, I'm so tired of safe.
04:13I'm ready to do better in this competition.
04:15Honestly, I'm not mad at safe,
04:16but safe is not what I came here to be.
04:18Honestly, I want to win another challenge, so.
04:20I want to win a challenge.
04:22Oh, it scares me, y'all cannot do this.
04:24Oh, Canada.
04:26She did it already, then had her.
04:29Hello, page turners.
04:31Hey.
04:32It's a new chapter in the competition,
04:34so you better hit the books.
04:37Library late fees are a real bitch.
04:41Are you?
04:44Oh, shit.
04:45The library, that's bad.
04:46Was she reading?
04:48Hola, hotties.
04:52Oh, he is coming with the fashion, honey, I live.
04:54Come on, Brett.
04:55The key to being a good drag queen
04:57is putting your money where your mouth is.
04:59And for today's mini challenge,
05:01you'll put your money maker to the test
05:03in my new game show called Lip Sync or Swim.
05:08Oh, my God.
05:09Bitch, are they gonna get us wet?
05:11Y'all know drag and wet does not mix, honey.
05:14The key is to stay in sync no matter what comes your way.
05:18Oh, God.
05:18Oh, shit.
05:19Oh, God.
05:20Oh, shit.
05:21You'll have 15 minutes to get into quick drag
05:23and then come on down.
05:25Oh, Lord.
05:27Ready, set, go.
05:33Oh, my God, let's do this, come on.
05:34We only have 15 minutes.
05:38I don't know where none of my stuff is.
05:41I'm just gonna do bad makeup.
05:43Should I do bad makeup, too?
05:44You always do.
05:47Coming through.
05:48Hello, Alexis.
05:50Welcome to Lip Sync or Swim.
05:52Ooh, beautiful set.
05:54The game show where you must blow us away
05:56or be blown away.
05:59The rules are simple.
06:00Deliver a fierce lip sync to camera no matter what.
06:05The song is Just What They Want by RuPaul,
06:07so I hope you know the words.
06:08Me too.
06:10Just put on your safety goggles right there.
06:13Oh, it's gonna be there.
06:13Oh, my goodness.
06:14It's gonna be like that.
06:16Oh, this is some bullshit already.
06:18Here comes the music.
06:19Hear that.
06:40Okay, like, what's the deal?
06:41Like, the wind's not even strong right now.
06:45Yes.
06:46I feel like I'm doing really well.
06:47I am starving into the camera, being fierce.
06:55What the fuck is this?
06:56My birthday?
06:59Fuckin' hell.
07:00What the fuck is out here?

07:07They wanna see you.
07:07They wanna see you live it down.
07:09They wanna see you go off.
07:11Who do I admit to?
07:12I'm just gonna do bad makeup.
07:14Who do I admit to?
07:16Fuckin' hell.
07:17Give them just what they want.
07:18They wanna see you.
07:19Yes, yes, yes, yes.
07:21I'mma Justin.
07:23Baby, can't nothing take me away from a performance.
07:26You know I'm looking for the bitch who wants to walk.
07:27Looking for the bitch with the pussy that wants to pop.
07:29Oh.
07:30The pussy with the pops with me.
07:31I'm in the dark, making it up.
07:32Here's if the kitty could drip or drop.

07:51I know you wanna work.

08:06Weak skits, snatch, bring me the weak thief.
08:07No team, no shame, no weak.
08:09But who is a drag commander in chief?
08:11Last I checked, I still the boss.
08:12Paid the price, I paid the cost.
08:14Flashy flexin' when I floss.
08:15Damn, she rexy when she waltz.
08:16Machiavelli to the drop.
08:18Work, work, work, work, work, work.
08:19They wanna see you live it down.

08:25They wanna see you.

08:36Ooh, I'm tired for it.
08:37Work, work, work, work, work.
08:39Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work.
08:42Oh, good for you.
08:44Work, work, work, work, work, work.
08:46Bravo.
08:48My drink come through an orangey.
08:50Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
08:51Bro, that was a mess.
08:52Come on.
08:53Somebody call my manager.
08:54Lip sync up, swim my ass.
08:57I hope this show gets canceled and never renewed.
09:00Queens, you all threw caution to the wind,
09:03but one of you was a breath of fresh air.
09:06The winner of today's mini challenge is
09:11Miss Fiercealicious.
09:13Woo!
09:14Oh my God, I finally won something.
09:17I won a challenge.
09:18I won a challenge.
09:20You have won $2,500 courtesy of Swish Embassy.
09:26Does this count as a maxi win or like half a win?
09:28No, I just said mini challenge.
09:29Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
09:30I'm counting as one.
09:32Girl, listen, she wants something
09:33she can stop pouting now, my little brat.
09:36Now, we've had a few laughs,
09:37but it's time to get real funny, honey,
09:40because for this week's maxi challenge,
09:45the library is open.
09:47Ooh.
09:48For the maxi?
09:50In pairs, you will face off
09:52in the first ever reading battle.
09:55Ooh.
09:56What?
09:56This is good.
09:58Well, first of all, what is that?
10:01Like, I ain't never heard of it being called that,
10:04but I know we gonna have to read,
10:06so let the reading begin.
10:08Bring your best burns to the main stage
10:10and roast your partner down the house.
10:13Ooh.
10:14The winner of each battle
10:15will earn themselves a top placement.
10:18Wow.
10:19While the loser will be in the bottom
10:20and possibly up for elimination.
10:24But first, you'll need a rival.
10:26Oh.
10:27Miss Fiercealicious, as the winner of the mini challenge,
10:31you will choose your foe first.
10:33Oh.
10:34Hmm.
10:36Who should I pick?
10:37I need to be strategic here.
10:38Oh my God, there's a lot of shitty bitches here.
10:42Fiercealicious, don't pick me, girl,
10:43because you know I'm gonna destroy you.
10:45I think I'll take
10:49Lemon.
10:50Ooh.
10:51Let's go, girl.
10:52I am very thankful that Miss Fiercealicious picked me
10:55because the bitch is easier to read than a book.
10:57Lemon, you will choose the next queen
10:59to pick their reading buddy.
11:02I'm gonna let Miss Cheryl Holt pick.
11:04Okay.
11:05I'm gonna pick
11:08Eureka.
11:09Oh.
11:11Listen, Cheryl is calculated.
11:13She's got a rat face.
11:14If you look like a weasel or a rat in the face,
11:16you are a strategic, calculated person.
11:20Oh my God, I should put that in my material.
11:22Wow, sis.
11:24Okay.
11:25Oh shit.
11:27That leaves Kennedy versus Alexis Mateo.
11:30Oh, fuck me.
11:32This is the moment when I need a shot
11:34of something really hot.
11:35To make this roast extra hot,
11:36giving you a helping hand is this week's guest judge,
11:39Emmy award-winning comedian, Samantha Bee.
11:42Ooh.
11:43Yeah, I'm sure, Samantha.
11:45I got pill-ups.
11:46Are you ready to judge a book by its cover?
11:48Always.
11:49Readers, the library is now open.
11:51So start your engines and may the best dry queen win.
11:55Ooh, let's go, let's go.
11:57Oh shit.
12:00Oh.
12:02In a comedy roasting challenge,
12:03you need to have thick skin,
12:05like Kennedy's leopard skin.
12:08Wait, not lizard skin, sorry.
12:10No, leather, sorry, I meant leather.
12:13Leopard.
12:15So fierce.
12:16What made you make your decision?
12:18Okay, so I know it kind of looks shady,
12:19but I was actually being strategic with it.
12:22I know you the best,
12:22so I felt like I could come up with more material with you.
12:24Also, if I lose against you,
12:27I don't have to lip sync against you.
12:29You ain't that.
12:30If I have to lip sync tonight,
12:31it won't be against Lemon,
12:33and she's the fiercest lip syncer here.
12:35I'm actually really excited about this challenge.
12:37I think it's gonna be fun.
12:38I've done really well in reading challenges in the past.
12:40I won season 10,
12:41and I feel like the reason I won in season 10
12:43was because I was so unapologetic then,
12:46and that's what I'm gonna bring to this challenge.
12:49You know what's smart too,
12:51is to kind of plan, not a full rebuttal,
12:54some ideas of like,
12:55okay, these are gonna be what my reads are about,
12:57and then if I have a chance to rebuttal things,
12:59I'll use these.
13:00I think that's where I come alive,
13:02like the in the moment, yeah.
13:03Whereas, letting my brain tick, tick, tick, tick, tick,
13:06I'm like, fuck.
13:08I'm really trying my hardest
13:09to not let my inner saboteur sneak up on me.
13:12Coming off last week, being in the bottom,
13:15it's starting to make a cameo,
13:17and I'm not letting some inner saboteur bitch consume me.
13:20Okay, this one is kind of like, mean, but I mean.
13:23I love mean jokes.
13:23No, Lemon, when life gives you lemons,
13:26you're supposed to make lemonade, not like a shitty album.
13:29I like that one.
13:32Going into this challenge,
13:33I'm gonna have to put my friendship with Kennedy
13:36and separate them quickly
13:38so I can focus on what the assignment is.
13:42Okay, Kennedy is so ugly
13:44that her parents wanted to name her Shit Happens.
13:48Do you like that one?
13:48I like that.
13:49Do you like it?
13:50Right.
13:51I wonder where I'm like, um.
13:52Viewers, let's just please listen
13:53to at least one of my jokes.
13:55It's a conversation between two people, hoe.
13:58I will give you a nasty look,
14:00but it seems that you already have one.
14:02Huh?
14:03Thank you for absolutely nothing,
14:05just like your contribution to drag.
14:08Nothing.
14:11Oh!
14:12Hello, girl.
14:13Hello, it's not me, Ruth Paul.
14:14Hello.
14:16Now it's time to get some honest feedback
14:18and some roasting material
14:20with our judge, Brad,
14:21and special guest judge, Samantha Bee.
14:24What an honor.
14:25Shall we dig into it?
14:26Sure.
14:27Eureka's from Tennessee,
14:28which means she's got big drag,
14:30eats good,
14:31and has fucked all eight of her cousins.
14:34Too far?
14:35No.
14:36No, are you crazy?
14:37Incest is best.
14:38Samantha, in a roast, is there a line?
14:41I don't think you can know what the line is
14:44until you've crossed it.
14:47You'll find it.
14:48You're on the other side of it.
14:49That's right.
14:50Eureka is so big,
14:51she makes the CN Tower look like a toothpick.
14:55Ha, ha!
14:56Ow!
14:57Will you laugh as hard tomorrow?
14:58I will, actually.
14:59Oh, yeah.
15:00I did just write this as well.
15:01That's the read?
15:02That's it?
15:03Yeah.
15:04Cliff notes, you know, cliff notes.
15:04You want to give some variation in there.
15:06Not everything on the same theme.
15:08You want to mix it up, like, just a little bit.
15:10That will get tired for the audience as well.
15:14Tap into that confidence.
15:16Like, from what I've seen of you is
15:17you are a very confident queen,
15:20and you're confident in your comedic ability.
15:22Well, thank you.
15:23That means the world to hear.
15:24I need to succeed,
15:25because this is something I should be doing well in.
15:28Make us laugh!
15:31I think she's very natural.
15:33I do, too.
15:34Like, naturally funny.
15:35Yes, I agree.
15:37All the ingredients are there, like, 100%.
15:40Hello, Eureka.
15:42Hi, gorgeous.
15:43I'm just feeling eager to get feedback.
15:44You need to be delusionally confident.
15:47That's the whole point of reading,
15:48so maybe even my delusion will come into play.
15:52Samantha, what do you think is, like,
15:54the formula for a good joke?
15:56I think that when a good joke hits, you know it.
15:59You know it in your gut.
16:00Like, when it comes out, it's fast, it's tight,
16:03and you just feel it right here.
16:05That explains so many sessions I've had just not on stage.
16:08Fast, quick, tight in my gut.
16:11All right, well, let's start it off.
16:13Now, listen, Cheryl, I love you,
16:15but you're shaped like a hyperventilating breath.
16:19No?
16:21I didn't just think about that.
16:22I'm trying to picture what?
16:24No, I hate that.
16:25Why are y'all not laughing?
16:27I'm funny?
16:28The first one out of the gate,
16:30we should know that Eureka is going to destroy Cheryl's hole.
16:34So, Cheryl, I knew you were a UK queen, honey,
16:36and it's not your accent.
16:38It's not your lack of talent.
16:39It's just like the food in the UK.
16:40You have no flavor, taste, and you're disgusting.
16:43Yeah.
16:44Okay, so I really do think you remind me of a princess.
16:47Fiona.
16:51I'm sorry.
16:51That is good.
16:52Where we are in the last half of this
16:55is where you need to be in the reading battle.
16:59I appreciate that feedback.
17:00Thank you so much, Eureka.
17:01Thank you for your time.
17:02Very good.
17:03We're excited to see you tomorrow.
17:05Hi.
17:06Lemon.
17:07Hello.
17:08Love your yellow.
17:10I love your yellow.
17:11Look at us.
17:12We're like buttery.
17:13I'm just excited to kind of bounce ideas back and forth
17:16and hopefully get some good advice.
17:17All right, let's hear some of your material.
17:19I'm worried that it's a little long-winded.
17:21Okay.
17:22I have charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.
17:26More like delusional, uncultured, misshapen, and bratty.
17:30And that one has a double punch
17:31because if you think about it, it also spells out dumb.
17:34Oh.
17:35Oh.
17:36Oh boy.
17:38Okay.
17:38Like I would want to see a visual of that
17:40in order to get it.
17:41Unfortunately, I can't bring out a chart this time.
17:44What we want for you is to give us a lead up
17:47and then just amaranth.
17:48The ones that have a little less thinking involved
17:50is probably the...
17:52Yeah.
17:52It's like confidence in your material and preparation.
17:55Yes.
17:56It's that combination that makes you strong.
17:58Miss Fierce Delicious has really applied her name
18:01to this competition.
18:02Well, mostly the miss part.
18:05Oh my God, that's so funny.
18:09Stay out of here.
18:11And just remember, we're all out here wanting to laugh.
18:14Yeah.
18:15Okay, cool.
18:15Thank you so much, Lemon.
18:16Thank you so much.
18:17Okay, love you.
18:18Bye.
18:19See you tomorrow.
18:20Wee!
18:21Hello, Miss Fierce Delicious.
18:23Hello.
18:23How are you feeling?
18:24I'm actually feeling good.
18:25I'm almost done with my material.
18:26Great.
18:27She gave me a lot to work with.
18:28Oh, did she?
18:29Yes.
18:30God, I cannot wait.
18:31Yes.
18:32So I had the chance to open for Lemon a few years ago
18:34and it was an amazing experience.
18:36It was my first time getting to perform
18:38for an audience of four people that were all on their phones
18:40and were there to see Jan.
18:41Oh.
18:43I mean, I'm ashamed.
18:44Y'all told me not to be bitchy in the challenges,
18:45but I feel like this is a challenge where I can be bitchy.
18:47Oh, this is the one where you should be the bitchiest.
18:49Okay.
18:50Now they're literally giving me the bitchy role
18:51on a platter, so this is my moment to shine.
18:53Lemon is always talking about wanting a boyfriend.
18:56Maybe you could get one if you could ride a dick
18:58as well as you ride Priyanka's coattails.
19:00Ooh.
19:01Oh my goodness.
19:03I have a strong feeling
19:05that you're really gonna nail it.
19:07I'm just nervous because I'm against Lemon.
19:09Like, she won the reading challenge on her season.
19:12Okay.
19:13You can really excel at this one,
19:15but I think you can also go a little bit further.
19:18I was nervous coming into it,
19:19but they told me I'm on a really good path and go hard,
19:21so I'm going hard.
19:23Hey.
19:24Hello, Alexis.
19:25I want to keep it light.
19:26I want to keep it fun and straight to the point.
19:29You want to go for the kill and let them bleed out.
19:32Kennedy has a beautiful smile.
19:34Too bad she put it in a cup of water before she goes to bed.
19:40Kennedy is so ugly,
19:41her parents wanted to name her Shit Happens.
19:45Is that good?
19:46Yep.
19:48Okay, I know what you guys like.
19:49Your precision jokes are like an arrow through the heart.
19:53They're so direct and so, so strong,
19:55and you just feel it.
19:56Listen, shady doesn't mean you're evil.
20:00It means you're realistic.
20:03Hello, Kennedy Davenport.
20:05Hello.
20:06So, Kennedy, how are you feeling about this challenge?
20:09It's kind of hard,
20:10because when I'm joking and being funny,
20:12I'm usually hosting,
20:13so it's really like impromptu,
20:16but I'm having fun.
20:17It is such a different experience to just speak
20:19and then to craft a joke on the page.
20:22It's like two different muscle groups.
20:24Yeah.
20:25I think the key here is not sounding rehearsed.
20:28I love the story you told me about your family
20:32in Puerto Rico and how you have a house there.
20:35Looking at them rough-ass hands,
20:37it looked like you built it brick by brick.
20:40Speaking of brick, hey, Pierce.
20:44I think that's a good joke,
20:46but I think the length of it makes it less funny.
20:49I can shorten it.
20:50Girl, tell the truth.
20:52You didn't move away from Puerto Rico.
20:54They kicked you out for impersonating a jackass.
21:00I feel like there's a better punchline than jackass.
21:03Girl, y'all don't like my jokes.
21:05Back to the drawing board.
21:08Try not to let the writing of the jokes paralyze you.
21:12Yeah, it's just hard to structure.
21:15It is.
21:16But I'm gonna get it.
21:17You are so funny.
21:18If you're having fun, we're gonna be having fun
21:21no matter what.
21:22Right.
21:23I got some good feedback, so I am happy about that.
21:26I feel positive, but I know I got work to do.
21:29I feel like she was getting a little lost
21:31in the process of writing the joke.
21:33I'll be very, very impressed
21:36if I see a huge turnaround tomorrow.
21:38Yes.
21:41It's elimination day,
21:42and I'm ready to make the judges laugh
21:44like they were laughing at Cheryl's runways last week.
21:49Well, obviously, this is a roast challenge,
21:51and when we're roasting and reading,
21:53you have to have a bit of thick skin.
21:55Like, where does everybody's thick skin come from?
21:57I think my thick skin came from...
21:59You don't have none, baby.
22:01You don't have no thick skin yet, honey.
22:03Shut the fuck up.
22:04Believe it or not, I used to be way more sensitive
22:07than I am right now.
22:09When I was younger, I used to get made fun of a lot
22:11for just being myself,
22:12and then growing up, I kind of shut down
22:16and stopped being so outgoing
22:17because I was just nervous I would get made fun of
22:19all the time.
22:20I still find it hard getting close
22:22and trusting people into my life.
22:24I know I can be shady a lot of times,
22:26but I feel like that's just my defense mechanism
22:28of protecting myself from other people.
22:31It wasn't until I started drag that I realized
22:33I can just be myself, and people will love me for that.
22:37You think so?
22:40Honestly, I don't know that I have
22:42the thickest skin all the time.
22:43I grew up constantly being ridiculed and beat up
22:46by my family, by my peers.
22:49You know, when the people that are supposed to love
22:52and care about you tear you down
22:53every single day of your life,
22:55I fear that I'm not enough so much in my life,
22:58and that's always been my biggest problem.
23:00Regardless of how successful I would become,
23:02I never truly thought I deserved it
23:04because the abuse I was raised in made me believe I didn't.
23:08I'm not always read in a fun, loving way.
23:11You know what I'm saying?
23:13And it's still hard for me.
23:14It did make me maybe exterior-wise tougher.
23:17Like, I could take a punch because I had to from them,
23:20but it didn't make the hit hurt any less,
23:23especially emotionally.
23:24You know what I'm really learning more than anything
23:26is how to live without numbing agents.
23:29My recovery and sobriety and all those things
23:31is what is helping me understand how to deal
23:34with those emotions and feelings now
23:36versus pretending like they don't exist.
23:38I'm not going to allow those addictive behaviors
23:41to rule everything I do.
23:43I still struggle.
23:44I think we all do.
23:45You know what I'm saying?
23:46Like, we can pretend like the reading is all fun
23:48all the time, but it does get to a point
23:50where it still affects us, you know?
23:51For sure.
23:52You can just feel when someone is reading you
23:54out of love and friendship and fun,
23:57and it's a very fucking different feeling
23:58when someone's actually trying to tear you down.
24:01A real read does come from a place of love
24:03because at the end of the day, if you don't like a bitch,
24:05you're not talking to her, period.
24:08Well, this is why in this competition,
24:09I'm so thankful for actually having Lemon here
24:11because in the last couple years
24:13where I have actually been struggling,
24:15out of all my friends, she's been the one
24:17that has checked in but also kept it 100.
24:20I knew going into UK versus the world airing,
24:22I had to have thick skin
24:23because I know I didn't deliver my best,
24:26but when things started coming out,
24:28all I saw online was justice for Lemon,
24:31justice for Jimbo, justice for Pangina,
24:34but absolutely no radio noise for me.
24:38And it just makes me think, did I deserve to be there?
24:41She was actually there for me during the hardest point
24:43was after I got eliminated on UK versus the world,
24:46literally dealing with the trauma of being eliminated
24:49and having your dreams crushed.
24:51One of the biggest people in my life,
24:53my nan, who was like one of my best friends,
24:55passed away and I got told that morning
24:57after I got eliminated.
24:59Oh my God.
25:00I was absolutely in bits
25:01and had to really rebuild myself from the ground up
25:05because I sort of fell out of love with drag.
25:07Straight away, Lemon came straight down to my room
25:10and sat with me for as long as I needed
25:12and that really cemented our bond.
25:15I'll share all of you.
25:17I was struggling yesterday and I didn't want to admit it,
25:21but it was one look from Eureka
25:23that gave me the smile that I went,
25:25thank you, okay, we can do this.
25:27I love you for that.
25:28And now I'm gonna drag you.
25:30If you can pull me, drag me, baby.
25:35Welcome to the main stage of Canada's Drag Race.
25:38Canada versus the world.
25:40He's my favorite homotextual.
25:42It's stylist and author, Brad Goreski.
25:45Hi, Brooke.
25:46Hi, Brad.
25:47How do you keep your editors happy?
25:49Well, I do know my way around a colon.
25:51I know that's right.
25:53And she's a real page turner.
25:54It's Serene Fox.
25:56I love big books and I cannot lie.
25:59Hey-oh.
26:01And I love her full frontal.
26:03It's Canada's comedy queen, Samantha Bee.
26:05Hi, Brooke.
26:06Hi, Samantha.
26:08How do you like your roasts?
26:09Well done.
26:10Ooh, put a fork in me.
26:13This week, we challenge our queens
26:15to get lit to writ in reading battles.
26:17Racers, start your engines
26:20and may the best drag queen win.
26:22Welcome to Reading Battles.
26:24Here's how it works.
26:26Two queens will spar in a joke-off.
26:29You will trade burns
26:30and the goal is to get as many hits as you can.
26:34The winner of each battle
26:35will automatically land themselves in the top
26:38and the loser in the bottom.
26:40So don't hold back.
26:45First up, we have the Queen of England,
26:48back.
26:51First up, it's Miss Fierce Delicious versus Lemon.
26:59I need to win this challenge
27:01because I need to stop Lemon's trajectory
27:03because I think being in the top every week
27:05is getting to her head.
27:07I'm pretty confident going into the reading battle,
27:09but I do know that Fierce is a shady little bitch,
27:11so anything could happen.
27:14She has the face of an angel
27:16and the personality of a gargoyle.
27:18It's Miss Fierce Delicious.
27:21And when life gives you lemons,
27:23try another franchise of Drag Race.
27:25Ah!
27:26It's Lemon.
27:29Let the reading begin.
27:32I had the chance to open for Lemon a few years ago
27:34and it was an incredible experience.
27:37It was my first time getting to perform for an audience
27:40of four people who were all on their phones
27:41and thought they were there to see Jan.
27:44Miss Fierce Delicious has stamped her name
27:46all over this competition.
27:48Every single challenge, Miss.
27:54When life gives you lemons,
27:55you're supposed to make lemonade, not a shitty album.
28:01Fierce Delicious has a special connection to the number four,
28:04which is why tonight when she lip syncs,
28:05she'll be wearing her unstyled hair for the fourth time.
28:10I can sit here and tell you that your drag is basic,
28:12you're unimaginative, and you're going home,
28:14but I think hearing that from RuPaul was enough.
28:19That was Michelle.
28:24Miss. Fierce Delicious has a lot in common
28:25with Kennedy Davenport's eyes.
28:27Beautiful, but lazy.
28:35Lemon, you're taking my material, you hoe.
28:37If I had a dollar every time you put together
28:39an intelligent thought, I'd be in debt.
28:42Like Kennedy after spending her last $30
28:43on her bun weight tonight.
28:48Until she's speeding up and getting nervous.
28:50And I just want to shake her and be like,
28:52bitch, you're funny.
28:53Fierce reminds me so much of Vanessa Vanjie Mateo,
28:56because just like Miss. Vanjie,
28:58she too has been relentlessly fucked by Brooklyn Heights.
29:05You really are an inspiration
29:07to young, queer rappers everywhere.
29:09Every young rapper dreams of growing up
29:11to be a 28-year-old rapstress
29:13who still lives in their parents' basement
29:15and can't get a hit song with their more famous friend.
29:17They dream of it, but you've done it.
29:19I'd take my parents' basement
29:20over a Sookie Doll's attic any day.
29:26You're always talking about wanting a boyfriend,
29:28and maybe you could keep one if you could ride a dick
29:30as well as you ride Priyanka's coattails.
29:35Honey, I'm taking my free trip to the top.
29:38Just like my friend Priyanka,
29:40Fierce too talks about having sex a lot.
29:42But the only thing she's fucking is up in this competition.
29:53Nicely done, queens.
29:55Shady.
29:57Fiercealicious.
29:58You really impressed me.
30:00You got some really good zingers in there.
30:02I think there's obviously some history there,
30:04and so I was excited for it.
30:05And I would have been disappointed
30:07if there was no clapback, so I'm happy there was.
30:09You came in with some really,
30:10really good material yesterday.
30:13I wish you would have slowed down just a tiny little bit
30:17because we lost a few of your jokes.
30:19I agree with Brad that maybe I felt
30:21a little bit of nerves from you,
30:23maybe toward the end of the routine a little bit.
30:25I think you were expecting Lemon
30:27to be a little bit more faltery than she was,
30:29but she kept volleying it right back to you.
30:31But you did a really great job tonight.
30:33Lemon.
30:34Hi.
30:35Yesterday when you came in,
30:37I have to say I was a little bit nervous,
30:39but tonight you were definitely
30:40very in control of your material.
30:42You hit your jokes hard.
30:45They were so mean and great.
30:48Every joke landed.
30:50Your clapbacks were hysterical.
30:51The clapback for me is my favorite part.
30:53I think you have to be willing to go back and forth.
30:56I'll be laughing about the Kennedy Lazy Eye
30:58for a very, very long time.
31:01Hey, shit, now it's true.
31:06And the joke about Brooklyn.
31:08True.
31:11Well, you know, there's truth in every joke, Brooklyn.
31:14There's my almost mother-in-law over there.
31:17I know.
31:17Oh, it just goes.
31:19Queens, we have made our decision.
31:22The winner of this reading battle is
31:27Lemon.
31:30Yeah.
31:31Congratulations.
31:32You have secured a place in the top this week.
31:35That means, Ms. Fearsalicious,
31:37I'm sorry, but you are in the bottom.
31:40You may both leave the stage.
31:43Going into this, the pressure is real
31:45because my number one is in the bottom
31:47and I need to win this challenge so I can save her.
31:51Time for our next reading battle.
31:53It's Eureka versus Cheryl.
31:59Honey, Ms. Cheryl Hall,
32:00I'm about to dig it and rebury your ass, okay?
32:04K-pop.
32:10She's here, she's queer.
32:12We get it.
32:13It's Eureka.
32:16And she's British and so are her teeth.
32:19Give it up for Cheryl.
32:21Oh!
32:23I paid a lot for these.
32:25Let the reading begin.
32:28Listen, I'm so excited to be competing
32:30in Canada versus the world.
32:32I love doing community service.
32:36What a beautiful crowd, I love the size.
32:38I feel like I'm at a Tynomi Banks tour.
32:42So listen, I'm here to read
32:44my beautiful, gorgeous, talented,
32:45and soothing sister.
32:49Oh, she's not here.
32:51So I got stuck with Cheryl.
32:54Well listen, sister,
32:55I don't want to take it too hard on you
32:57because I know your appearances on Drag Race
32:59have already done that.
33:03Sorry, everybody, I was just enjoying the silence.
33:05It's very rare with this one.
33:09Good evening, Canada!
33:13And Brooklyn, I can't forget you.
33:15The weirdest game of Twister I've ever seen.
33:18But Eureka, you look bloody beautiful tonight.
33:21You actually remind me of a princess.
33:24Oh, Fiona.
33:28This is called my job.
33:30This bitch is called my job.
33:32Now listen, you guys,
33:33I wish I could say I'm close to Cheryl,
33:35but I'm just not friends with girls
33:36that have no talent and smell like spotted dick.
33:41Eureka is so big,
33:42she makes the CN Tower look like a toothpick.
33:47I just learned what a loonie is in Canada,
33:50and apparently it's a coin.
33:52Well, you know, in the US,
33:53a loonie is anyone that thinks Cheryl Hull
33:55is about to win this competition.
33:56Eureka's catchphrase is,
33:58Eureka, you found it!
34:00But it should really be, Eureka,
34:01you can't fucking miss it.
34:05Listen, you already took my princess jokes.
34:07I just want to tell you,
34:08out of drag, you look a lot like
34:10you are part of human trafficking.
34:13I don't know if I got it,
34:14because she took my princess Fiona joke.
34:16You fucking bitch.
34:18Gotta get in there first, gotta get in there first.
34:20Eureka's from Tennessee, everybody,
34:22which means she's got big drag,
34:24I've been Cheryl, that's been Eureka.
34:26Let's end this road with a high kick, Eureka.
34:28Come on!
34:29Let's do it!
34:30Yes!
34:30Yay!
34:31Woo!
34:32Yay!
34:35Hi, Eureka.
34:36Hello, darling.
34:37I thought the two of you together
34:39had such a nice flow.
34:41I felt like I actually could have sat here
34:43for 20 more minutes.
34:44I didn't really want you to sit there
34:45and be like, I'm gonna do this.
34:47I'm gonna do this.
34:47I'm gonna do this.
34:48I'm gonna do this.
34:49I'm gonna do this.
34:50I'm gonna do this.
34:51I'm gonna do this.
34:52I'm gonna do this.
34:53I'm gonna do this.
34:54I don't think we want to put you
34:55through 20 more minutes of that.
34:57Yeah.
34:58I like the way that you bantered
35:00back and forth with Cheryl.
35:01I just wish a little bit that you went even harder
35:05because I think you're funny.
35:07Make her cry.
35:08Okay.
