00:00We who believe in freedom cannot rest until it's done, cannot rest until it's done, cannot rest until it's done.
00:15We are you, we are many, we are few, we are growing, we are you, we are many.
00:28We are you, we are many, we are few, we are you.
00:31We will make the effort to do this, we will use this opportunity to unite as a whole country against any form of racism.
00:39This is exactly what the social elite want us to do.
00:42There are real issues around public living, there are real issues around how hard it is to get things done,
00:47and most of all, we are not the weakest in our society, but the strongest in our society.
01:24We've been here before and we've actually shooed them away.
01:27Crawling people have said, get out, we don't want you here.
01:30And that's what I'm here for.
01:32So I hope we're going to do the same today.
01:34If any more people do turn up from the right wing, we want you out.
01:38We're not interested in what you've got to say.
01:40We don't believe in the sort of things you believe in.
01:42We want a decent society.
01:44And all you're doing is bringing destruction and division and hate.
01:50It's not crawling.
01:51We don't believe in that.
01:52And that's why I'm here.
02:02I'm a resident of Crawling.
02:04I've been here for about over 25 years.
02:07I've got a little business, a quick move, and it's a very beautiful town.
02:11Everybody really gets on well with one another, amazingly.
02:15It's very sad what's happened.
02:17But the protests are peaceful and everybody gets hurt.
02:21We're OK.
02:23Just looking at your sign there, what does it say?
02:26I was thinking about what you write.
02:31At the end of the day, we are all part of one humanity.
02:34I'm going to say we're all brothers and sisters.
02:36As Chris Martin says on Broadway, we're all cousins on planet Earth.
02:41Many, many more of us than you.
02:44Many, many more.
02:46Many, many more.
02:48Many, many more of us than you.
02:51We are black, white, Muslim, and we dream of a day.
02:54We are black, white, Muslim, and we dream of a day.
02:57We are black, white, Muslim.
02:59Black, white, Muslim.
03:01Black, white, Muslim, and we dream of a day.
03:04Fascism.
03:06Fascism.
03:08Fascism.
03:10Hi there.
03:12We've come to Portia to support the town's protests.
03:15We just believe everybody's got a human right to a decent home, a decent secure job.
03:20We believe everybody is welcome.
03:22And we're so thrilled to come over to Crawley to support our comrades.
03:28Hiya, do you want some water, sir?
03:30No, I've got my own, thank you.
03:32Cookies, cookies.
03:43My name is Arif Syed. I'm the chairman of the Borefield Mosque.
03:46And we're really pleased and delighted to be here.
03:58Well, it's just like a mela, right?
04:00It's a carnival, it's a festival.
04:02Very peaceful, very humble, right?
04:05Everybody is just now putting their message out in the best possible way.
04:10It's a peaceful environment, and that's exactly how we want it here.
04:14So that the women and children can come in an event like that,
04:17and without any animosity, without any fear, and without any intimidation,
04:21to put our message out.
04:23And that is most important.
04:25In Crawley, we are united.
04:27We don't want any...
04:29Our fascist approach, our streets should be clean and welcoming.
04:34And that's the message from the Crawley people, and from the mosque,
04:37and from the Muslim community.
04:39And this sums up Crawley, doesn't it?
04:41It does, actually.
04:43All multicultural societies, you see the faces from all the segments of the society,
04:49all black, white, and everybody else.
04:53There are students here, the young people are here, the old people are here,
04:57the vulnerable people are here.
04:59They all wanted to put one simple message.
05:02We are united, and we don't have a thakuri or racism in our streets.
05:06So we welcome all the immigrants and anybody else, what the government allows,
05:10and we are peace and law-abiding citizens, and we will stay that way.
05:14And we don't want anybody to disturb our peace and quality and hospitality.
05:40We cannot rest until it's done.
