00:00And as I mentioned, Team USA, they may get the gold in the end, but it has not been the
00:08easiest of runs for them.
00:09As a matter of fact, folks, if you bet Team USA in every single one of these matches,
00:14whether it was the exhibitions or the group stage or the medal stage, and you bet them
00:20against the spread, folks, you lost a lot of money.
00:22I mean, Team USA, they may get that gold, but they are not helping you out as far as
00:26covering the spread along the lines.
00:28In fact, Serbia led the game at the half.
00:31If you watch this game, you thought that maybe there was a chance that they could pull the
00:35big upset off.
00:37But in the end, the final score, folks, 95-91, Team USA wins, and they are on the doorstep
00:44now of the gold medal.
00:45And I guess that's all anybody will remember in the end, but sports bettors, we remember
00:49things a little bit differently.
00:51Kevin Durant has had a great ceremony at the Olympics, to say the very least.
00:57And last night after the game, Durant even admitted to the media that this is one of
01:02those special moments along the line of his career.
01:04How can you not celebrate a win like that?
01:06Look at all our families out here.
01:08Look at this.
01:09You know what I'm saying?
01:10Like, that's what this is about.
01:11You know what I mean?
01:12We all come together as one on the other side of the world like this.
01:15Starting USA champs, our section, starting USA champs.
01:20It's special tonight, man.
01:21So we got to celebrate.
01:22I'm not going to act like it's not.
01:24You know what I mean?
01:26I don't know where to go, but we got to celebrate the small moments too.
01:30Everybody here will remember this night for the rest of their lives.
01:33That's how special this is.
01:35And because we came back and we showed how together we were in that fourth quarter.
01:40It was incredible.
01:42Team USA with a victory against Serbia.
01:45Now, one of the more bizarre stories that have come out of the Olympics will be yesterday
01:50as Noah Lyles ends up winning the bronze medal
01:53and then afterwards reveals that he tested positive for COVID just a couple of days ago.
02:01And so, sort of strange here that he, after the race admitted he had it, would he have admitted this?
02:10Had he won the gold?
02:12What is the eligibility requirements regarding this?
02:15To say the least, very strange turn of events.
02:19Noah Lyles had an incredible Olympics, but a strange result yesterday and a strange admission afterwards.
02:26And again, why not say this before the race is what I think a lot of people are asking this morning.
02:32All right.
02:33A lot of people are asking this morning about this very strange story with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Fanatics.
02:40And I've read this story several times, to be candid with you here on the show.
02:44And I'm not completely sure exactly what is going on here.
02:47To say the least, I'm going to try to break it down for you.
02:50Marvin Harrison Jr., first round pick, has a deal in place with Fanatics, at least according to Fanatics.
02:56And he signed off on a deal.
02:58Now, this includes signing items, memorabilia.
03:00I think I saw 35,000 items he agreed to sign.
03:04Give them some gear, right?
03:06Like they could put it on sports cards, sell it on their site.
03:10Harrison Jr. says he has no agreement with Fanatics now.
03:14So, they're being sued by Fanatics.
03:17They just said the word, they're being sued.
03:19Because the reason why is Marvin Harrison Jr. says he didn't sign the agreement because his dad signed the agreement.
03:26But meanwhile, as part of Marvin Harrison Jr.'s personal company, his dad is a signer of the company for his memorabilia and things like that.
03:38I don't get it.
03:39So, Fanatics is going to re-sue Marvin Harrison Jr., whether or not Marvin Harrison Sr. is involved in this as well.
03:46But it does seem like Marvin Harrison Jr. signed a deal with Fanatics to give up his gear and sign autographs and get paid.
03:53And now maybe he's found a better deal.
03:55He just doesn't want to do it.
03:56I don't know.
03:57That's what's going on.
03:58NBA Christmas Day games have been announced.
04:01This is a long ways away, Frank.
04:03Spurs at the Knicks in five months.
04:06Get ready.
04:07Bet it now.
04:08Timberwolves, Mavericks.
04:1176ers, Lakers.
04:1376ers, Celtics.
04:14Warriors, Nuggets, Suns.
04:16What is the one thing that you can guarantee about these games, Frank, on Christmas Day?
04:21What is the only thing that you can guarantee?
04:23Knicks win, is what Frank says.
04:25No, what you can guarantee is I will be working on Christmas Day here on SportsGrid.
04:28I've done it every single year since I've come.
04:30So, there you go.
04:31That's what you can guarantee.
04:32You'll hear me breaking those games down.
04:33France beat Germany 73-69 at the Olympics.
04:37Victor Wembayama and France headed to the gold medal game.
04:41Another upset.
04:43Two consecutive Olympics after beating Germany by four yesterday in the semifinals.
04:47Wemby has been fantastic.
04:50And they move on.
04:51And again, playing in front of the home crowd certainly seemed to help.
04:55U.S. 4x400 relay team has advanced to the gold medal.
05:00Quincy Wilson, 16 years old in Team USA, is going to play for the gold on—
05:06run for the gold, I should say, on Saturday.
05:08Christoph Razavinsky of Hungary wrapped up the Olympic events in the Seine River
05:14by winning the men's 10-kilometer marathon race.
05:17Congratulations to him.
05:19Vinesh Phogat has filed an appeal,
05:21has asked the sports highest court to award her a shared silver medal
05:26after being disqualified from her Paris Olympics final
05:30for not coming in at the proper weight limit.
05:34The decision is expected to be issued before the end of the Olympic Games.
05:39All of the coverage of the Olympics this weekend,
05:41gold medal for soccer, basketball, etc.,
05:44broken down for you today on Pharrell Coast to Coast at 3 o'clock Eastern.
05:49Jerry Jones has yet to give a brand new contract to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb
05:54as the season approaches.
05:56And in a very bizarre commentary yesterday,
06:00Jerry Jones just said that it's not a priority for him
06:04and then paused and then started talking about a lot of other stuff.
06:07It was very odd, to say the least.
06:09But as of right now, no new deal for the league's best wide receiver last year.
06:14And then a comment on social media from CeeDee Lamb posted late last night
06:19with three letters which were L-O-L.
06:24All right. CeeDee Lamb wants to get paid. Not getting paid.
06:26I got you. Everybody else getting paid.
06:28CeeDee Lamb not getting paid.
06:30By the way, Brandon Ayuk, who was traded on social media 46 times over the last week,
06:36is still a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
06:39All right. Last night in preseason action in the NFL,
06:42the Giants beat the Lions 14-3.
06:45That was the final there. Drew Locke got hurt in that game.
06:48Also, the New England Patriots beat the Carolina Panthers 17-3.
06:53Quarterback Joe Milton had a really nice debut for the Patriots
06:56through a 38-yard touchdown pass.
06:58Atlanta Falcons placed Rondell Moore on the reserve injured list.
07:01He's out for the year with a knee injury. They just got him in the offseason.
07:04And the Saints have signed linebacker Pete Warner.
07:07Three years, $25 million deal, $17.5 million guaranteed.
07:12Yesterday, we learned that Pedro Graffal was fired as manager of the Chicago White Sox.
07:17They also let go of pretty much all the members of his staff except for Grady Sizemore.
07:22And he's now been named the interim manager of the White Sox,
07:26although it looks like they're going to do a full search after the season.
07:29The Atlanta Braves are falling apart. They lost four games in a row at home,
07:33courtesy of the Milwaukee Brewers.
07:35They're now officially out of a playoff spot for the first time since 2022.
07:39German Marquez returned for the Rockies. He threw in one game and got hurt again.
07:44He is out for the season.
07:46And Justin Verlander is going to return pretty soon to the Houston Astros.
07:51He's going to have a rehab start at AAA Sugar Land.
07:55Coming up, he's 41 years old.
07:57And all the Astros are hoping for is that this guy can get healthy for September
08:02and carry them back to the postseason, which the Astros are no stranger to.
