Transcript
00:00The Department of Labor and Employment, or DOLE, has allocated 45 million pesos for its Cash for Work program.
00:07The beneficiaries are workers who have been displaced by the oil spill caused by the sinking of the tanker MT Terra Nova in Bataan.
00:16The agency is also coordinating with various local governments to get the number of affected workers.
00:22Aside from farmers and fisherfolk, workers affected by Typhoon Karina will also be provided assistance through the program.
00:31Our regional offices will also start providing assistance.
00:36They are not the only ones who are looking for help because the DOLE program, which is called TUPAD, is for displaced and disadvantaged workers.
