Indigenous peoples' group rallies against Kaliwa Dam project at DENR

Indigenous peoples' group holds a protest and symbolically spits 'nganga' or chewed betel nut on a banner in front of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Quezon City on Aug. 8, 2024. It demanded, among others, a cease and desist order on the government's Kaliwa Dam project which, it claimed, threatened the livelihood and environment of nearby communities.
