A glitzy Ibiza mansion belonging to soccer superstar Lionel Messi was trashed this week by climate change activists who proclaimed they wanted people to "eat the rich" following the act.

00:10Mojo, we're going to start with a crazy story involving maybe the greatest soccer player
00:15of all time, one of the famous for sure, Lionel Messi, who had his mansion in Ibiza in Spain
00:23vandalized by climate activists.
00:26Now this is craziness, Mojo.
00:29We actually have the crime happening on video because these said climate activists recorded
00:35the entire thing.
00:37You see multiple people with spray paint, black, red, purple spray paint on the outside
00:42of the property, Mojo, which is an incredibly beautiful multimillion dollar place in one
00:48of the most coveted destinations in the entire world.
00:53And not only do they put all of this spray paint on all of these outside walls, but they
00:58wrote a couple of phrases.
01:01So listen to this, eat the rich, abolish the police, and help the planet.
01:10Well, I think, you know, help the planet, fine.
01:12As far as eating the rich and abolishing the police, that happened, Mojo.
01:16And now Lionel Messi has got a big, big mess to clean up because his house is pretty badly
01:22vandalized.
01:23Yeah, Babcock, I mean, this is a total problem, right?

01:29I mean, thank goodness it was only spray paint, right?
01:31If this was someone looking to harm someone that came with weapons, that would have been
01:37a way worse situation.
01:39Still kind of crazy to me that they were able to get into his house so easily.
01:45I guess, with Messi, I would have expected there to be security surrounding the house
01:4924-7 and for someone not to be able to do something like that.
01:54And this looked like it took some time.
01:56So they were clearly there for a while and clearly no one showed up to break this up

02:27But I will say one thing, Babcock, and you know I'm not an artist, the house kind of

02:35Afterward, you've got like this red-black artistic, I mean, it looks like a famous artist
02:40came in and did something.
02:41I'm not saying it's a Banksy, but you know, I kind of like the character that this house
02:47has now.

02:49So maybe they helped Lionel Messi out.
02:51Look, we've seen these environmental organizations across the world do things like this.
02:57The goal is to get attention, and like you said, Mojo, from that standpoint, they've
03:01gotten it because you've got us, you've got, you know, a bunch of other news outlets across
03:06the country, across the world, really, who have talked about this story.
03:09I would argue all I think it does is get people to say, you all are crazy, and while you may
03:16have a notable cause, you know, a worthwhile cause in, hey, let's take care of our planet,
03:24when you vandalize people's property, when you do things like this, and make stupid comments
03:29like abolish the police, I mean, come on, guys.
03:32Again, Lionel Messi will have to clean this up, or maybe he keeps it like Mojo said.

03:40Lionel Messi, of course, is not from Spain.
03:42He is from Argentina.
03:44The president of Argentina, Javier Mele, who was a very popular politician, he actually
03:52released a statement.
03:53He said, I stand in solidarity with the Messi family for this cowardly and delusional event,
03:59and I ask the government of Pedro Sanchez to guarantee the safety of Argentine citizens
04:06living in the kingdom of Spain.
