00:05The effects of the heavy rain or southwest monsoon continues here in a large part of the northern and central Luzon,

00:11and the western sections will still be the most affected.

00:14Meanwhile, the southern Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao

00:18are still expected to be hit by localised thunderstorms or rains that do not last long.

00:24Meanwhile, the typhoon we are monitoring outside the Philippine area of responsibility

00:29from a tropical depression, it has increased as a tropical storm

00:33and has an international name, Maria.

00:36This is contributed by the USA.

00:38And lastly, this was observed 2,230 kilometers east-northeast of Batanes.

00:43Based on our analysis, this will not enter our Philippine area of responsibility

00:48and will go far towards the east of Japan.

00:51There is no expected direct effect on our country.

00:55These cloud clusters in the east of Luzon

00:59are associated with the trough or extension of this tropical storm, Maria,

01:04and there is no expected effect on our country.

01:07The low-pressure area that we were monitoring yesterday was also affected as of 2 p.m.

01:12and we are no longer monitoring any weather disturbance

01:14inside the Philippine area of responsibility for today.

01:19By today, the cloudy skies and rains in Zambales, Bataan, and a large part of Ilocos region

01:26are still expected to be affected by the Hanging Habagat or Southwest Monsoon.

01:29The nature of our rains for today,

01:32sometimes, there are light to moderate rains and there are also thunderstorms,

01:36especially from yesterday until tonight.

01:38So be careful of possible floods and landslides

01:41and always bring an umbrella, especially for our students.

01:45In the remaining part of Luzon, there are also rains as early as this morning

01:49here in the part of Mimaropa, Mindoro Provinces,

01:52a large part of Calabarzon, Metro Manila,

01:55and almost the entire central Luzon.

01:57Expect rains before noontime and also here in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
