White Sox Tie MLB Record with 21-Game Losing Streak

00:09It tied the longest in American League history alongside the Baltimore Orioles that lost
00:14the first 21 games of their 1988 season came to a close.

00:25Craig, it is terrible.
00:27It is dismal this year for the White Sox.
00:30How do you describe the current landscape that is this White Sox franchise?
00:37They made a lot of changes in the offseason, and I think that what you're probably going
00:43to have to do is put some of this on the previous people that were running things there.
00:47I think it's only fair to say that Kenny Williams, his time was up.
00:52Rick Hahn, his time was up.
00:54Both gentlemen did a fine job as general managers through the years, but very clearly
00:58toward the end did not to have this team in this kind of shape.
01:02Also Pedro Griffo is probably going to end up losing his job.
01:06You can't lose as many games as he did in order to get there.
01:10And the White Sox can't even get the number one pick in the draft for all of this, which
01:13is sort of crazy to think that they're not even eligible because of the new CBA rules
01:17with the lottery.
01:18But I think more than anything else, I'm happy that the story is over because I'm not going
01:23to necessarily call out any other media or broadcast or radio shows, but Ben, I got to
01:28tell you, there's nothing more annoying than seeing some of these national shows discussing
01:33the White Sox when I know for a fact they have not talked baseball in months on their
01:38shows and choose the White Sox to be the tipping point here as what they're going to talk about
01:43to get some attention here.
01:44So for me, I'm very happy that it's over.
01:46That's one of the reasons why.
01:47I'm not saying that baseball moves the needle like the other sports because I know it does
01:50not.
01:51I'm not trying to say that it does.
01:53But if you haven't talked baseball at all, like ever, and then you're just going to pick
01:56on these guys, I just I don't know, something about that to me seems wrong.
