00:00Good morning. Before the break, 20 families were burned in Sampaloc, Manila last night.

00:07According to the BFP-NCR, from January to July, the number of burns increased by 17% compared to the same time in 2023.

00:16The witness is James Agustin.

00:19Before 5.30 p.m. earlier this afternoon, a fire broke out in Barangay 185, Sampaloc, Manila.

00:30Based on the investigation, the fire started in the area of M. De La Fuente and J. Tuazon Street.

00:35It reached the second alarm.

00:3713 houses were burned and 20 families were affected.

00:42The fire was at 6.18 p.m.

00:46In Barangay Pasong Tamu, Quezon City, residents gathered to get a man out of the burning house.

00:57The house was completely engulfed by fire and the bodies of 59-year-old Francis De Los Reyes were found.

01:08But he was very thankful for the people who helped him escape.

01:12I was sleeping in my house.

01:15When I woke up, there was a fire inside.

01:18I was shivering.

01:20I was pouring water.

01:21I couldn't breathe.

01:44We also tried to open the gate.

01:46We all tried to help each other to open the gate.

01:53A residential area in Baco, Cavite was also engulfed by fire early this morning.

01:58Three hours ago, the house was burned to red.

02:00It was the second alarm.

02:02A senior citizen was injured after a loud bang.

02:07The fire was even louder in Manila and Quezon City.

02:11The entire house was burned to ashes.

02:14Above a commercial building, a fire broke out in Tagudin, Ilocosu.

02:18The house was left in ruins, according to the BFP.

02:22A tenant who was behind the fire was also injured.

02:28More than 30 vendors lost their jobs because of the fire in San Rafael, Iloilo.

02:33The house was worth more than a million pesos.
