00:15In 2017, Vigo was captured by wildlife photographer Floyd Bermejo and he was the one who won 1,000

00:27We do free flight outside the field and it just so happens that the wildlife photographer
00:34passed away.
00:35So it was really a great opportunity for that photographer to get up close the bird without
00:41a screen around.
00:42That's why he was able to get some good shots there.
00:46Vigo is now 14 years old and he has a wife, but she is not a bird.
00:53I am his human surrogate mate.
00:57I am his wife.
00:58So he's a male.
00:59We tried to introduce a female before I imprinted this bird.
01:03So we introduced him to a female eagle, but they didn't accept him.
01:08So they fought.
01:09So it means that this eagle is imprinted towards me as a keeper.
01:16The Philippine Eagle is a very loyal animal.
01:20He will only have one partner for the rest of his life.
01:23They stick to one.
01:25So once he is imprinted, he can no longer be given to others.
01:31In order for Vigo to breed, he is now taking care of the eagle for their artificial insemination
