00:16in the demo farm of Kalayaan LGU in Palawan.

00:21She earns P8,100 per month.

00:25This is enough to cover her family's daily expenses.

00:31Daisy's work is important, especially when there's a calamity.

00:34The demo farm provides free food to her fellow countrymen

00:39if there's a storm.

00:40Most of them are fishermen who can't swim.

00:44We don't sell, we give to the residents.

00:49It's a big help for us to ration for our fellow countrymen,

00:54especially during low pressure and typhoons, sir.

01:00The demo farm is just one of the projects of Kalayaan LGU.

01:04Its goal is to provide free food to the residents

01:08whenever there's a calamity.

01:10Different kinds of vegetables and fruits are grown here.

01:13Aside from the demo farm,

01:15Itikana, Goat Raising Farm, Poultry, and Dragon Fruit Farm

01:20are also provided by the local government

01:22that provides extra income to the residents.

01:32so that it can help us to feed our fellow countrymen.

01:37Last month, the three artificial reefs

01:41in the marine protected area

01:44were damaged by fish and protection in the big waves.

01:48Not far from here,

01:49the BENR Marine Scientific Research Station and Support Facility will be built.

01:55Because this location is surrounded by the sea,

01:58LGU's priority is to build an evacuation center.
