00:00North Carolina is in Debbie's path and that's where Lowe's headquarters is located.
00:05Sean Riley is regional VP for the home improvement chain and he joins us now
00:12from Mooresville, North Carolina. Thank you so much, Sean, for joining us.
00:16You're very welcome. Happy to be here.
00:19Thank you. We can get right down to it, Sean.
00:21What's the latest on the ground at Lowe's headquarters?
00:24How have you prepared for some of these impacts?
00:27Well, our best-in-class command center has been active, fully active since Sunday,
00:34making sure that we have the right products at the right time in the right communities
00:37that are most impacted right now.
00:40They're also doing calls daily.
00:42We have multiple outputs where we're getting the information
00:46into the communities and the stores that need it
00:48so that we're able to best serve the communities that we serve.
00:52We also have product that's fully staged.
00:54We're ready to go so that as the issues pop up, whether they be flooding, wind damage, etc.,
01:00we're able to get the right product to the right stores at the right time
01:03to be able to serve the communities that we represent.
01:08Yeah, Sean.
01:09And as we all know, hurricanes can wreak havoc and cause lots of damage
01:13from a tree or a roof damage to a major flooding.
01:17How is Lowe's helping people prepare and respond for Debbie's impacts?
01:23What products are in high demand right now?
01:27Yeah, so we're very fortunate.
01:29We have storm-ready teams and various stores that are really tested with hurricanes.
01:35So people are coming to us looking to see what's going to happen and how we can best prepare.
01:40So being able to look at things like flooding, electrical issues,
01:44making sure that we have things like sandbags, sands, tarps,
01:47preparing for any flood issues, rain issues that they may have,
01:51and then being available after the storm to be able to handle
01:54not only the cleanup but the rebuild.
01:55So things that are already on site and we're ready to go with drywall,
02:00flooring needs, appliances, whatever that may be to be able to rebuild quickly
02:05and put yourself where you can get back into your home as quick as possible.
