00:00What do you think of this United States game with Brazil?
00:06I think I saw it earlier at 27 and a hook.
00:09Now look, this team they're playing has, I think, five starters that average double figures
00:17and I think they lead the entire tournament field in offensive rebounding.
00:23That means they bust their ass on the glass.
00:27And I've always, as you know, been a huge fan of rebounding when it comes to winning
00:32basketball games.
00:33You get all the rebounds, nobody gets second chances, nobody gets putbacks, nobody gets
00:38easy dunks.
00:40You dominate the glass at both ends of a basketball court, I'd say eight out of ten times you
00:46win the game.
00:47You're right.
00:48Offense wins games.
00:49Offense, you know, wins games with defensive rebounding, especially when championships
00:55for LNM.
00:56If you really think about it, the Brazilians do a great job of attacking the offensive
01:00glass.
01:01So that could be one of two ways if you want to bet this.
01:03Number one, team total for the USA.
01:05If the USA could secure the rebound, that means there could be run-out opportunities
01:10depending on how many guys crash the glass for Brazil.
01:15The Israel and the United States and the women too, they don't get off to really great starts.
01:21So I'm not going to lay the point.
01:23I like taking the USA in the second quarter, Pharrell, because Steve Kerr is going to play
01:27eleven guys, they're going to get up into you, and at some point the dam is going to
01:32break.
01:33In the game against Puerto Rico, it was a huge second and third quarter.
01:38They did that also, I guess, I think, versus South Sudan, beating them by seven or eight.
01:42So look at the second quarter prep.
01:44Also that's when you get guys like Anthony Edwards getting some more time, sometimes
01:48even with LeBron to kind of get going.
01:50So I like the USA in the second quarter.
01:53I think they get run-outs, and if you think about a team that rebounds the ball well like
01:56Brazil, then you need to be looking at our best rebounder, who happens to be Anthony
02:01Davis.
02:02What, seven and a half is his rebound prep?
02:04Maybe look at Anthony Davis to secure the defensive rebound.
02:09So they've been averaging somewhere between 105 and 110 points.
02:14They put a buck four on Puerto Rico, and I never thought they had to try against Puerto
02:20Rico, to be honest with you.
02:21They put up a buck three against Sudan, and that was after everyone thought Sudan would
02:26give them a game based on their exhibition game against the 101-100.
02:31But they beat them 103-86, and the Serbia game was the biggest output, 110-84.
02:37What do you think they put up tomorrow against this tougher, physical Brazilian team?
02:42Well, this Brazilian team also gave up 86 to Germany, they gave up 76 to France, I think
02:4984 to Japan.
02:50So I think we can clear the century mark.
02:53You may want to, like I said, play the game live.
02:56I just don't like how we start, right?
02:58I just feel like we're the team, Pharrell, that screws around for a little bit, and then
03:04was like, oh, because we know at any point we can turn it on.
03:08So I think that's the key with me.
03:10The other thing you need to worry about, folks, and I know the three-point prop is coming
03:13down, and I've explained this before, I hope people know this.
03:17Do know that the FIBA basketball and the NBA ball are different.
03:21You notice, Pharrell, FIBA ball, 12 panels, NBA ball, 8 panels, right?
03:27So it affects the grip.
03:29The size of it's different, 29.5 versus 30.7 inches.
03:33Then you look at the weight, about 2 ounces of difference.
03:36It's a different ball, so be careful with three-point props.
03:40That being said, if Steph Curry's prop is at 2.5, Pharrell, at some point, he's got
03:45to bust out.
03:46Maybe it's tomorrow afternoon.
