00:00What do you think of, uh, overall of the way they're playing and the way they're moving
00:10it and the way they're spreading it out?
00:13Like we noticed, uh, when they played, uh, the, the Sudanese team that they obviously,
00:20uh, didn't cover, but Carver, I had a prop on, um, Curry and Ann Edwards to both go over
00:2720 and neither one of them really, frankly came close to 20.
00:31Obviously Curry had a bad game, but I'm noticing that even on the best night that Duran had
00:36the best game at 23 when he was eight and nine from the floor and LeBron had a 21 piece,
00:43right?
00:44Um, that it's hard for anyone on this team to go over 20 points cause it's like everyone's
00:49getting burned and they're all getting a few buckets and a few looks and a few shots.
00:55And, um, you know, guys aren't putting up those kinds of numbers at all.
00:59What do you think of the team as a whole and the way they're spreading the, uh, you know,
01:03the peanut butter around?
01:04Well, some of that is a lot of it up until yesterday was minutes driven.
01:10A lot of different players getting minutes because it was the exhibition portion of the
01:15schedule.
01:16And then of course a lot of players got minutes against Serbia, uh, because they dominated
01:20that game.
01:22But I think a lot of what was, what needs to happen for this team happened against South
01:28Sudan, uh, on Wednesday.
01:30And that is the ball moved really for the first time in the seven games.
01:35These guys have played publicly together.
01:37The ball moved a lot and it didn't require Tyrese Halliburton's presence for it to move.
01:42Halliburton was the only ball mover on this team before he got benched inexplicably.
01:49And yesterday we saw them actually start to engage with one another at a high level
01:54and seven games in with four games still to play.
01:58I think that's a good sign.
02:00The Saturday Puerto Rico game will not be important.
02:04They'll probably win.
02:05It really doesn't matter that much.
02:07If they do, then the knockout games start with the quarterfinals and that's when it'll
02:11really matter.
02:12And if they pass the ball as well in those games as they did on Wednesday, I think they
02:19have a great chance to win because every time you pass the ball on this team, you're passing
02:26it to someone who can put it in the goal.
02:28Every player on that team is capable of scoring 35, 40 points in an NBA game, but that's not
02:33what you want.
02:34What you want is every shot you take to be the highest quality possible shot because
02:40then you're having the highest quality possible shot taken by an elite player, a player who
02:47is likely to put it in the goal.
02:49And when you do that, what do opposing defenses do?
02:54What is the answer for that?
02:55Hope, really.
02:57Hope that Anthony Edwards misses or hope that Steph Curry has a 1-9 like he did yesterday.
03:02That's all you have.
03:04So the ball moves and they win.
03:07And yesterday was a good step in that direction.
