00:00So I'm going to take these bees and I'm going to put them right in this colony, brand new
00:06beehive.
00:07I'm going to open it up now.
00:09This is quite unique.
00:21And they're just marching right up into the hive very slowly.
00:24The queen is in there and she's probably underneath a few bees because they like to protect her.
00:29But once in a while she'll pop her head up.
00:32This is a mixed blood colony.
00:33There's African and there's European.
00:35But not all African bees are really aggressive, especially these.
00:38These are just lovely.
00:39Look at them go now.
00:40Now they're really going up in there.
00:41They've accepted this.
00:42Come on ladies, let's go.
00:43It's time to go.
00:44This is so fun.
00:45I used to do this as a little kid when I was like 12 to 15 years old and it made me feel
00:53really, really like I actually accomplished something.
00:55Absolutely.
00:56Hey, you want to do something really cool?
00:57Sure.
00:59This is going to be fun.
01:00You got your glove on.
01:01It's okay.
01:02You can still feel them.
01:03They're so beautiful.
01:04You're going to still feel them.
01:05I'm going to put some bees in your hand.
01:06Okay?
01:07Really?
01:08Okay.
01:09It'll be okay.
01:10Trust me.
01:11Okay.
01:12I trust you.
01:13Okay.
01:14Watch.
01:15Here you go.
01:16Breathe.
01:17Breathe.
01:18There you go.
01:31Isn't that neat?
01:32That is awesome.
01:33Oh my gosh.
01:34I totally feel their vibration.
01:35Yeah.
01:36That's so cool.
01:37And they're so full of love.
01:38It's not like they're going to hurt anybody.
01:39No.
01:40It's like a soft, I don't know, like just a hum.
01:44Gentle touch.
01:45Yes.
01:46Wow.
01:47I can't believe I'm holding bees.
01:48I mean, I know I have the glove.
01:50You got a hole in your glove.
01:51I know I do.
01:53They're actually touching your finger, your thumb.
01:55Yeah.
01:56Okay, so we're going to let the bees do their thing and move in.
01:58It's going to take a couple hours.
01:59Okay.
02:00Now we're ready to put the lid on and call it a day.
