00:00We're going to expose the complete beehive.
00:05I'm getting exhausted right now because it's really hot.
00:08It's all ready to go here.
00:12The bees are getting aggressive.
00:14They're protecting their hive.
00:15They're literally taking the roof off their home.
00:19They're in the middle of their work day, protecting their queen, and building their home.
00:23I'm the intruder.
00:24The bees don't know I'm here to save them.
00:29They can turn on me at any moment.
00:32I need to predict their behavior and trust my process.
00:37There's thousands of bees to capture here, and maybe over 100 pounds of honey to extract.
00:47All right.
00:48See how some of this is crystallized?
00:51Whoa, let's set that down.
00:53That's honey's way of protecting itself.
00:54It doesn't mean it's bad.
00:56They say, oh, it turns to sugar.
00:57That doesn't mean it's bad.
00:58You can reliquefy it by just putting it in a jar and putting it in hot water.
01:03But that there is beautiful crystal honey.
01:05It's finger-licking good.
01:07Oh, yeah.
01:08It's a good 25, maybe even 30 pounds.
01:15These are ready to hatch out.
01:17This one's just barely hatched out.
01:18There's a baby bee going to emerge right here.
01:22Baby bee emerging right there from her cell.
01:26Here she is, queen, right there.
01:29See her?
01:35That's the queen.
