00:00Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
00:08Let us first know the current situation in a large part of our country.
00:13Let us first look at our latest satellite image.
00:16At the moment, we are being watched by a low-pressure area inside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:22Although, as we can see, it is far from our land and there is no direct effect on any part of our country.
00:29As of 3 a.m., it was last seen 835 kilometers east-northeast of the extreme northern Luzon.
00:36As of now, there is no chance that this will be a typhoon.
00:41But since it is still in the ocean, we are continuously monitoring it.
00:45That is why we will continue to monitor the updates that will be released in the coming days.
00:50As of now, what is affecting our country is that we are seeing the effect of a strong wind or southwest monsoon.
00:57It is also affecting the areas of southern Luzon and Visayas.
01:01As we can see here in the satellite image, there are thick clouds that may cause rain in some areas of southern Luzon and Visayas.
01:12Meanwhile, in the vast majority of our country, although we are seeing some clouds, they do not last long.
01:19So most likely, the weather will still be hot, especially in the afternoon.
01:24And there will be isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
01:28In the coming days, we expect that the effect of this strong wind will continue.
01:34That is why we expect that the rainy season will be more frequent,
01:37especially in the vast majority of Luzon and Visayas.
01:40And possibly, the isolated rains will be more frequent in the afternoon or evening or in the early morning.
01:47There will be weather conditions in Luzon, as we mentioned earlier,
01:52because of the effect of this southwest monsoon or strong wind.
01:56There are areas that will experience rain or thunderstorms in the afternoon.
02:00In Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro,
02:07we expect scattered rains, thunderstorms, and thunderstorms.
02:11Meanwhile, in the vast majority of our country,
02:14as we mentioned earlier, it is possible that there will be hot weather in the afternoon.
02:19But in areas affected by the southwest monsoon, it is possible that there will be sudden rains in the early morning.
02:25Usually, the pattern when it comes to the morning, we will experience sudden rains.
02:32When it comes to the afternoon, the weather will be hot.
02:35And there will be rains again when it comes to the afternoon and evening.
02:38In the areas of Calabar Zone, NCR, and also in the Mimaropa and Bicol region,
02:44we expect that the weather will be like that today.
02:47And for the rest of Luzon, we expect that the weather will be hot from morning to afternoon.
02:53And there are chances that there will be sudden rains when it comes to the afternoon and evening.
02:57So, we just need to be prepared for the rain or thunderstorms.
03:03So, what is the temperature today?
03:06Here in Metro Manila, it will reach 32 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures.
03:1024 degrees maximum temperatures for Baguio.
03:14For here in Lawag, it will reach 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:1925 to 34 for Tuguegarao.
03:22And 24 to 32 degrees Celsius for Legazpi.
03:25Meanwhile, here in Tagaytay, it will reach 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:32So, the weather will be like that in most of our country.
03:37Like what we mentioned earlier, some areas of Palawan and Kabisayaan are affected by the Southwest Monsoon.
03:44We just expect that it will rain in most of Palawan and also here in Western Visayas.
03:50Meanwhile, in most of Kabisayaan, like what we mentioned earlier,
03:54because they are also affected by the long winds,
03:57there are still chances of early morning rain showers.
04:01So, in the afternoon, it will be hot and it is possible that it will rain again in the afternoon or evening.
04:06For Mindanao area, it will be hot from morning to afternoon.
04:10In the afternoon, there are still chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

04:24in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
04:26we expect 25 to 32 degrees Celsius for Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa,

05:07so that our countrymen will be able to sail far,
05:10especially those who have small sea vehicles.
