00:05Ja!
00:06Oh, ja!
00:07Also, wir haben hier vier wirklich coole Charaktere.
00:09Denkt irgendjemand an etwas Spezifisches,
00:11als ihr euch diese anschaut?
00:12Ich denke an Dorbin.
00:13Ich mag seinen Bart
00:14und ich will heute ein Bartmann werden.
00:16Nice!
00:17Nice!
00:18Hast du Spaß, ihn herumzudrehen?
00:19Oh, ja!
00:20Es ist ein Blast!
00:21Ich hatte eigentlich den Sorcerer,
00:22den ich für immer spielen wollte.
00:24Gibt es einen Weg,
00:25wie ich ihn einfach reinfülle?
00:26Ja, ist es auf D&D Beyond?
00:27Ja!
00:28Okay, süß!
00:29Da sind wir, alle verbunden und bereit.
00:32Es gibt viele Wege, D&D online zu spielen.
00:34Und nicht alle treffen die drei großen Dinge,
00:37die wir als wichtig sind.
00:39Spaß, Komfort und Authentizität.
00:42Oh, hallo!
00:44Hallo, willkommen am Ende!
00:46Seat yourself.
00:47I'll get some refreshments.
00:49What would you have?
00:50A nice grog would be nice.
00:52I'm really warm.
00:53I was standing real close to the fireplace.
00:56You have good wood.
00:57Your wood is good.
00:59Everyone hears scratching noises in the walls.
01:03Barton is like,
01:04damn rats!
01:05And he kicks the wall.
01:06I'd like to roll perception
01:08to see if I can figure out
01:09where the sound is coming from.
01:10Yeah, so you want to go to the walls
01:12and kind of look around.
01:13Fire breaks out.
01:14The whole inn shudders a little bit.
01:17Do the rats you encounter
01:19normally move buildings?
01:21Not anyone that I've seen.
01:23There might be more to this than rats.
01:27What I want to do is connect all my friends
01:29and play with them.
01:30They're on their computers,
01:31they're on their phones,
01:32they're on their game consoles,
01:34but we're all together
01:35playing through the same virtual tabletop.
01:37So that's the dream right there.
01:39Ceiling crashes down.
01:41Everybody make a dex save.
01:43Okay.
01:44So that's under dexterity.
01:45It'll be at the top up there.
01:46It'll be dexterity saving throw.
01:48Ooh, solid nine.
01:50So now you rolled two dice.
01:51Oh, that's so cool.
01:53Let's see how cool it is after you roll.
01:56We're in Unreal 5,
01:57which is latest, greatest.
01:59But now we're actually testing
02:00with friends of people who work at Wizards
02:03and their families.
02:04It's got spells, it's got effects.
02:06It's got a lot more rules in it.
02:08So those sort of things
02:09are what we've been adding.
02:10I will go over to this flame here
02:12and sort of rub my hands together and go,
02:14all right, please work, please work, please work.
02:16And I'm going to cast control flames
02:18to extinguish them.
02:19We're just trying to like
02:20show you where the rules are.
02:22Not being like,
02:23oh, once you get to the end of that,
02:24you can't move anymore.
02:25Because that's not really D&D to us.
02:27It's like, if your DM's okay with it
02:29and you want to do a flip
02:30and land on the table,
02:31then that's just how the game gets played.
02:33Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
02:34Just put yourself right up on top of the roof.
02:36I have the high ground now.
02:37The ground shakes, trembles,
02:39and an insect-like beast comes out
02:41with gnashing pinchers.
02:47We can have the DM be able to set the mood,
02:50set the lighting.
02:51What time of day is it?
02:52Is it raining?
02:53Is there fire embers falling from the sky?
02:57We just want to enable people
02:58to play the way they want to.
03:00Let's go into encounter mode now,
03:02which means that we're all going to roll initiative.
03:08Oh, and look, the DM dice.
03:10220s.
03:12It always happens.
03:13So he's going to turn around
03:15and actually acid spray the kobolds.
03:18Oh my God, stop, really?
03:20D&D is the first mod community.
03:22Yes, yes.
03:23We go all the way back.
03:25We're going to make our own content,
03:26but we want to make that content out of building blocks
03:29that everybody can break apart
03:30and make their own content from
03:32because that remix is core to the DNA of D&D.
03:37I will use my longsword.
03:39Here we go.
03:43Well, that got its attention.
03:44Oh no.
03:45You might want to just give this one up and run.
03:47So with these tools that you're going to hand to the players,
03:50is there a way for the community to share assets?
03:53The strength of it is the community
03:55and the community creating everything.
03:57And we create stuff
03:58and then the community tries to one-up us
04:00and then we try to one-up the community, right?
04:02That's a big part of it
04:03and having that sort of marketplace
04:05where you can just download other people's stuff
04:07and check it out,
04:08I think that's a core to the final experience.
04:11Then I'm going to hold out my hands
04:13and cast magic missile
04:15with all of them focused on the Ankh head.
04:17We're going to put everything in the Monster Manual in it.
04:20We want you to be able to play the game as it's written.
04:24I have eight hit points.
04:26I don't do physical activity.
04:29Miss 18.
04:31Slam down to the left and right of you.
04:34I feel like it's so perfect to come in
04:36and be able to visualize and see everything
04:38and hear everything.
04:39That's what my favorite thing about this whole VTT is.
04:43Es gibt immer eine Gruppe von Leuten,
04:45die das 5-Stunden-Prep machen wollen.
04:47Und dann gibt es Leute wie mich,
04:49die mir ein In-Game-Spiel geben
04:51und ich spiele.
04:59Let's go!
05:01Ich glaube, die große Frage ist,
05:03wann wir den virtuellen Tabletop bekommen werden.
05:05Als Nächstes werden wir es langsam öffnen
05:07für mehr und mehr Leute,
05:09damit hoffentlich viele, die zuhören,
05:12dass wir es dieses Jahr spielen können.
05:14Ich hoffe, dass du dir sehr stolz darauf bist,
05:16weil ich in Ehrgeiz war.
05:17Ich bin froh, dass es euch gefallen hat.
05:19Man weiß nie, oder?
05:20Das ist das Problem mit Entwicklern.
05:22Ich brauche das Feedback.
05:23Ich brauche das Loop.
