Which European nations are most highly educated?

We can all name top universities across Europe, but which nations have the most people educated to a high standard? Eurostat data shows Ireland tops the list, with 49.8% of the population reaching a ‘high level’ of education (which includes qualifications from universities, colleges, technical training institutes and vocational schools).

The EU average is 31.8% and overall across Europe, women achieved a higher level of education than men. But which countries had the lowest totals?
