00:00Computer Science videos here today to show you guys in this tutorial how to
00:05screenshot on a Mac using terminal and terminal commands. Without further ado
00:10let us start the video. So in this tutorial you need to have access to a Mac
00:14computer to be able to use terminal with the terminal commands for a given
00:20purpose. We can now start this tutorial. Let's now go over onto the dock. Go to
00:25launchpad. Search for the command prompt terminal. Let's open that up. Let's now
00:30increase the size of the terminal window as well as the text size using command
00:34plus a couple of times. Let's now clear all the content on screen and so the
00:42command to take a screenshot of the whole desktop is as follows screen
00:49capture and now we want to send the screenshot to the final destination. So
00:58as you've seen in the previous tutorials when we make use of tilde option n slash
01:08desktop. Now let's call the screenshot and give it a name. So screenshot.jpg
01:23Enter and there you go. Let's now minimize terminal for the moment. Let's
01:30open up the screenshot on screen and there we go. That's how you use terminal
01:38and terminal commands to capture a screenshot on your Mac computer. Let's
01:44now go over onto the dock. Go back to terminal. Clear all the content on screen.
