00:04protected from the attacks of the Giants,

00:06anthropomorphic creatures that feed on humans for over a century.

00:11The young Eren Jaeger, however, wants to know the outside world

00:16and intends to enroll in the Recognitive Army,

00:19the only military unit that ventures outside the walls to fight the Giants.

00:24Mother Karla and adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman

00:28try in vain to dissuade him, while father Grisha is struck by his determination,

00:35even after having witnessed the return of a patrol that had suffered significant losses.

00:40After Eren and Mikasa save their friend Armin Arlert from the overpowering of some bulls,

00:47a huge giant appears beyond the walls, the colossal giant,

00:51which with a kick creates a breach in the outer wall,

04:44and despite having the privilege of enrolling in the gendarmerie corps,

04:49Eren pursues his goal of enrolling in the reconnaissance army

04:54and to see the outside world, followed by Mikasa who intends to protect him.

04:59Armin, Sascha, Conny and other recruits follow their example

05:03and join the reconnaissance army,

06:55In the back alleys, a rich merchant tries to save his chariot full of goods

07:13A giant who has surpassed the defenses quickly approaches the door,

07:18but is shot down by Mikasa.

07:20The girl threatens retortions against the merchant,

07:24thus obtaining the passage of the citizens.

07:27Later, while Mikasa is talking to her superior,

07:31she remembers the episode of her childhood

07:34when her parents were murdered by a group of men

07:38and she was kidnapped to be resold for her oriental traits.

07:43Dr. Jaeger and Eren notice the murders

07:46and, despite the order of the father to return home,

07:50the young man follows the kidnappers and finds them in a hut nearby.

07:55In an attempt to save the girl, he kills two men,

14:46the morale of the troops drops rapidly as some soldiers begin to discuss a new mission

14:57Doth manages to restore order by reminding the soldiers that this opportunity

15:02constitutes their last chance to stop the giants and protect their families.

15:08Claiming that Eren is the result of a project of maximum secrecy to turn humans into giants,

15:15the commander plans to assemble the bulk of the troops in a corner of the city

15:20to attract the giants and give Eren, transformed into a giant,

15:25to transport a huge mass and thus close the breach.

15:29The plan also involves Eren being protected by Mikasa

15:33and the three best soldiers of the Trost garrison, Jan Dietrich, Riko Brezenska and Mitabi Jarnak.

17:20Meanwhile, Eren, in his giant state, transports the mass to the breach and seals it,

17:26while all around, the soldiers attract the giants away from Eren,

17:30sacrificing in some cases their lives.

17:33While Armin is busy extracting the body of the friend from the giant,

17:38the two are surrounded by as many creatures, but are saved by Levi's tempestuous arrival.

17:44With the breach in the wall finally closed,

17:47the soldiers concentrate on killing all the giants trapped at Trost,

17:52preserving two for research purposes.

17:55When Eren wakes up, he finds himself locked up in a cell guarded by the police force.

18:01Here he receives the visit of Levi and Commander Erwin Smith of the Reconnaissance Army.

18:06After having noticed his determination in wanting to destroy the giants,

18:11Levi agrees to welcome Eren into his squad,

18:15but warns him that if he had to betray them or lose control,

18:19he would not make excuses to kill him personally.
