00:00What's for breakfast this morning, sports fans?
00:06A gold, two silver, and two bronze.
00:09The full Aussie breakfast with a side of croissant, if you don't mind.
00:13Champion paddler Jessica Fox made Australian Olympic history by adding a second gold to
00:17her Paris collection, blitzing the field to defend her women's C1 title, just days after
00:23her K1 crown.
00:24In the pool, Kyle Chalmers and Jack Sutterly-Cook won silver in the men's 100m freestyle and
00:29the 200m breaststroke.
00:31It took a world record to beat Chalmers and a mad Frenchman, Leo Machon, to beat Zack.
00:36We won two bronze too, Natalia Diem delivered the ride of her life in the BMX, and Shooter
00:41Penny Smith from the little Victorian town of Booker, population 158, won bronze in the
00:47women's trap.
00:48The bad news is the Matildas are gone, their Olympic campaign is over.
00:53They lost 2-1 to the US and needed other results to go their way, but they didn't.
00:58Some other women's teams had more success, in water polo we beat the Netherlands and
01:02in hockey we beat the US.
01:03Our women's 3x3 basketball team also had a win against Germany.
01:07Finally, after all the controversy surrounding the water quality of the Seine, the triathlons
01:11were run.
01:12Matt Hauser had our best finish, 7th in the men's, and what a way to see the beautiful
01:16city of Paris with all that swimming and cycling and running.
01:20Just spoiled a little bit by all the sweating.
01:23All I know is that I'd rather be swimming in the pool than in the river Seine.
01:26Until then, au revoir.
