Major school funding agreement signed in Darwin
The Northern Territory has become the first jurisdiction in the country to sign up to the federal government’s education funding agreement, inking a one-billion-dollar deal to fully fund public schools. Signed just before the beginning of the election campaign, the Chief Minister says that every student in the NT will be better off.

00:20What this means is that the most underfunded public schools in the country are now going to become the best funded public schools in the country.

00:36Labor also signing an enterprise bargaining agreement with the Education Union, securing teachers a 13% pay rise over three years.
