00:00I feel so much when I go into places that are abandoned or vacant or quiet and I feel
00:16so much and I hear so much.
00:19You get a lot of poo.
00:22It's so therapeutic.
00:24I'm Delphine Jemet.

00:32I'm obsessed with history.
00:35Well I started doing urbex.
00:39It's definitely increasing big time but possibly not for the right reasons when people trash
00:45it and just go out there in big groups.
00:47Because of the emergence of TikTok, people care about status.
00:53I like to go into places and photograph the frog out of it.

00:59Keep a record of it.
01:02It just seems important.
01:03And I'm trying to fill in the gaps of focus on places that don't really get documented
01:10as much or people don't know about but are seemingly as important.
01:15It's like the history of rottenness.
01:17There's so much stuff here that no one really seems to care about, doesn't get documented.
01:21Bunkers, tunnels, a huge amount of landfills with artefacts as far back as 1945.
01:34Rottenness Island is probably most famous for the quokkas that kind of smile when you
01:38take selfies.
01:41Yeah, I'm definitely interested in military history because there's not enough documentation

02:21You want to see everything.
02:22I'm always just worried about what I say and what I do and self-conscious and stuff like
02:27that.
02:28But when I'm in places where no one is, it just, I feel like I belong there.
02:31It's just, the peace and quiet is just everything.
02:34I can go days without seeing a single person.
02:37I think my mates don't appreciate that.
