Former President Donald Trump wavered on whether he would debate Vice President Kamala Harris, saying he "probably" would but could also "make a case" for not doing so. Trump originally agreed to a September 10th presidential debate with then-candidate Joe Biden before Biden withdrew from the race. Trump has criticized the debate host ABC and said it would be inappropriate to schedule debates against Harris since the Democrats could still change their nominee. Polls show Harris either tied with or slightly leading Trump both nationally and in key swing states. Harris has accused Trump of "backpedaling" on his original agreement to three debates.
