Devastating Landslides in Kerala Leave 106 Dead Amid Torrential Rains

Strong currents of muddy water surged through India's southern state of Kerala on Tuesday, July 30, causing devastating landslides that have claimed at least 106 lives.

Hillsides collapsed after midnight, sending torrents of mud and water into homes of workers and villagers.

This disaster is the worst in Kerala since 2018, when severe floods killed nearly 400 people. Our thoughts are with all affected.
